She's not coming back; she's dead for good. The picture you are referring to is the one where Candance, the girl with the ability to create illusions, transforms into Simone. This is from the scene where she bailed out Isaac after the cops came to his loft, questioning the whereabout of Simone.
A good source is the heroeswiki.. you can see all the characters and their known abilities http://heroeswiki.com/Portal:Abilities
that's what i do too.....just watch, don't think. i liked it!! last night was my first time to watch it live and not on DVDs. but is was awful since we don't have cable and it was soooo fuzzy. i thought it was silar that shot nathan until later. we really couldn't see much. looking forward to the rest of the season! the strike def hurt and i couldn't stand the maya/alejandro plot of season 2 either.
I'm not 100% convinced yet that any of the 3 are Mrs. Petrelli's son. Maybe she has the power of suggestion to make them believe it.
Overall, the premiere got me interested again, which it was suppose to do...some of the things that happened were corny, which normally wouldn't matter, but I guess I hold this show to a higher standard... Is Sylar related to the Petrelli bros? Very interesting...Mohinder now having powers? I guess the whole reason for the reiteration of "Butterfly Effect" was to make sure we don't rely on the "Future" episode in the past..However, wouldn't that mean Peter wouldn't have the scar? Events would have happened differently, or so we're lead to believe... Nikki is different now and so is Hiro?
Hiro was acting like a b**** last night. Ando is the man and I'm glad he's getting powers apparently and using them to zap the **** outta Hiro.
Not sure about the whole scar thing. I guess we are to assume that the scar still happened in the future...even though the future was changed when Peter shot his brother to keep him from announcing to the world that he had powers. I forgot how he got the scar in the first place? As far as Nikki, my understanding is her power is she assumes different personalities and, with those personalities, comes a different power. This new Nikki is a new personality with the power to ice people. I don't see that the future changing has anything to do with this new Nikki personality...if that is where you are going. It's just that we hadn't seen that side of her before...only the super human strength side as the other personality. I didn't notice anything different about Hiro...other than he thought his work was done until dear old dead Dad came along and opened a new can of worms with the half formula BS.
The show was great. To really get it going for the rest of the season they had to do this....I though Peter and Nathan's mom's power was to give people memory of the past/future?...the reason i say this is becuase when Peter lost his memory after season 1 he went to the future and met his mother, then somehow got it all back after his mom touched him.
Her power enables her to see into the future when she sleeps (precognitive dreaming). Peter was able to get back his memory of his mom because she told him to concentrate and thus his brain healed itself (using Claire's power). Much like how he regained all of his memory after Adam told him to think about the most important thing to him (Nathan).
But it's when she touches Sylar that he makes that face as though he remembers...that’s what made me think of this. I don’t think her power is limited to precognitive dreaming....
Yeah, I see where you're coming from. I really hope Sylar isn't related to the Petrelli brothers. That would be so typical and lame; making the good guy and bad guy brothers or father and son.
It looks like Nikki assumes a personality and an appropiate ability to protect herself in times of stress. This would fit perfectly with Mohinder's adrenalin theory. Near the end of season 2, she rushed into a burning building and survives. Tracy and the ice powers manifested in order for her to survive. Her true ability may not be super strength or ice powers, but the ability to manifest new powers that would allow her to survive or adapt. She's so effed up in the head from childhood abuse that every time she has a traumatic experience, it spawns a new personality also. It looks like Mohinder's storyline will be trying to reverse the effects of the superpower formula, because of the bad side effects. Once he has an anti-superpower formula, the heroes will use it to neutralize the level 5 villians at the end of the season.
Does anybody else watch Friday Night Lights as well and notice all the same actors as supporting actors on this show? We've got Claire's mom as Mrs. Taylor's sister, Jesse as Santiago's old friend, and Daphne as Landry's fling. Has NBC run out of actors or what?
I feel too much like I'm watching The 4400 meets DC/Marvel when I watch this show. Last night Spiderman and Magneto showed up. I realize it's hard to come up with new superhero powers, but wtf. "I'm going to give everyone superhero powers with a syringe!" Hmm, where did I see that in the last few years...
Remember, you can also watch it the next day on the Heroes website. My tv reception was too grainy, so I went to the Heroes website to watch. http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/video/episodes/?apl=true
These two episodes were a little weird but very dramatic. Man, they need to make another season like Season 1. I still have yet to see an episode as good as the episodes in Season 1.
Parkman's dad indicated that the powers continue to GROW and Expand . . .. so maybe that is just where her's started Rocket River
