not piling on the point, but we can't forget the fact that mccain, another legacy benefitee, graduated third from last of his naval academy class, and considering palin, i think he should just stay away from academic credentials naval acadowned
Sam, you are basing your argument on a grading system at Harvard that you are totally unfamiliar with. How do you know affirmative action was not used to select the law review participants? Sounds like the 'writing contest' is a nice little place to give a little nudge to a candidate, in sympathetic fashion. You didn't go to Harvard, so basically you are in the dark and guessing as to the selection criteria. On the other hand, what we know as FACT is that Obama won't release his undergrad grades. That's what we know. And of course that leads to suspicions. We also don't know the extent of his Middle Eastern backer who helped him get into Harvard. More suspicions. Did this guy also shepherd him onto the Law Review? maybe -- we simply don't know.
Law Review people do mostly editing, not writing, and if their notes are published they are usually done either as a student note or an unsigned comment But somebody found a comment that's probably his. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0808/12705.html
What about Palin? She went to the prestigious 3rd Tier University of Idaho, where she receieved a BA in Communications-Journalism. Bwaahahahaa!
Such as? (This should be good since you have never been to law school.) There has been ONE 2 hour class in my 90 hours of law school that was not graded blindly. It was the writing requirement and we worked closely with the prof on the topic before turning it in so the blind grading was moot.
Do you think it applies here? Or should be discussed in this thread for any reason other than to incite?
Actually no - I just asked the person who sits nearby, HLS class of '00. The exam grading is indeed blind....like it is at nearly every accredited law school with the possible exception of certain upperclassmen writing seminars that don't count toward LR selection and 1L writing seminars which also don't really count. Strike 14. No. As I've stated it's impossible.
That's not true, she attended a number of junior colleges first. I assume she was at Idaho under an affirmative action program for stupid people who had dropped out of four previous colleges?
Ah, damnit... I was really starting to get used to this sound.... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/tj49V13Iv-4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/tj49V13Iv-4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> it is relaxing....
Do you know if Obama benefited from Affirmative Action, the assumtion is stupid rather its racist or not considering he was at the top of his class at Harvard, and being at the top makes it a non issue you loose a lot of credibility when you defen TJ's race baiting.
What about McCain? Got into the Naval Academy on legacy and graduated number 897 in a class of 899. So why are they even trying to attack Obama's intelligence?
Yes, mentioning affirmative action is racist, when the person you are talking about has objectively demonstrated excellence in the field being discussed (education).
Seriously. It's like Obama claiming he's more of a war hero than McCain. He and Palin would be best served avoiding the topic of intelligence and sticking to religion and guns.
