    This may be a dumb question, but why would anyone pay for a picture that the guy freely posts on the autcion website? Is that just r****ded or is it me?

    That's like saying, why would anyone buy a baseball or football card on the Internet when there are probably pictures of them somewhere. lol. There's probably more satisfaction in having the object rather than the picture of the object... yes, even in the case of a picture. :)
