the first two are nicknames based off a snapshot in time of american culture and would seem dated when the current infatuation with shortening everything's names is long gone, the third jsut plain sucks....the fourth is the only nick with durability, as long as we are the main hub of NASA we *are* the Space City.
H-Town or Space City. H-Town because its simple and sounds good. Space City for obvious reasons and is just a plain ol' cool nickname.
Bayou City feels like the only genuine nickname (besides Clutchcity). H-town works for locals, but how many towns give themselves nicks with the same construct? Space City was a noble and sensible effort at a nickname, but it just doesn't feel as right.
i think posting in this thread enables you to make a suggestion. i voted h-town, though i'm not sure that it's the sort of nickname our city could market (if that is the purpose of it)
H-Town when among other locals, but Bayou city has a little bit more flavor. Space city works too, good for advertising tourism I guess. (Like there is any)
h-town is what i usually call it but other cities have "taken" that same approach...namely dallas. I've heard some call it D-down Space city and Bayou city arent bad though
