Here is the situation. There is not equal pay for women doing the same jobs as men. There was legislation brought about that would require that. McCain could have supported it or not. McCain did not support that legislation. As far as lawsuits... McCain supports equal pay for women unless they actually have to take action like a lawsuit to get it. In that case the lawsuit is more troublesome than the fact that women aren't getting equal pay for the job. Wow, that is really some strong support for equal pay McCain has there.
It's inappropriate to baselessly call another poster sexist. This thread is a smear because it makes a negative implication about Obama which is not supported by data. Of course, we've all realized by now that you take as gospel anything critical of Obama.
No, the problem with the law was it would allow spades of retro-lawsuits which would just tie up the courts based on slights during an era when there was no law for equal pay. Can you imagine the bottleneck? Your summation really mis-represents the situation IMHO.
It's interesting how the Israelis view Obama. He receives much support both from Jewish liberals and arguably the right-wing AIPAC, but his middle name bothers Israelis a lot. Also, there are doubts whether he is really a Muslim apostate. Here is an article which analyzes Obama's similarity to early Zionists: http://samsonblinded.org/blog/obama-against-jewishness.htm What do you think of the parallels?
