    Little fact check on Tirico:

In 1992 Obama had just graduated from Harvard Law, was organizing a voter registration drive, AND was teaching law at u of chicago

    Whatever.

I'm sure most would of thought Cornholio, err Kornheiser... oh whatever.

I thought he was more the satirist of the bunch.

    Dude, really...

This is me you're talking about. I am no bigggttteeeexxxxx, or Te Jota.

Back up your claims, oh wise King.

I'm not in that most crowd as I heard Tirico say. Why does it matter? It's one person's statement.

I'm amazed that the most reasonable post in this thread is The Cat's. :)

I'm saying Tony K. is the satirist of the bunch... it was obviously a joking play on the conscious of America during an election cycle.

I was in no way hinting at racism... That's why I'm saying it matters...

Maybe Tirico said it because the game was practically out of reach for the Jets and he was killing time? Yes... that, and he's a journalism major, I think, from his bio I linked to... He won the Bob Costas award.

Palin was a sports journalist too... That's probably the only link.

Oh OK, but then again I never thought you meant to bring race in it at all.

What an insult to Honest Abe. Obama fits the Lincoln profile much more than Palin.

Obviously, I mean what would be the point of starting a thread based on criticisms of McCain and Palin and then to say "this might surprise you, but the people criticizing them aren't black..."

And if it hasn't been stated enough, Obama was also teaching at the University of Chicago in 92. He was also voted in as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review before that which is the reason he was offered a book deal in the first place.

Abraham Lincoln was a Lawyer and well read and he didn't like hunting because he didn't like killing animals. He is so the opposite of Palin it's not even funny. If he were alive today, he'd be insulted for being an elitist for "readin' too many of dem books with no pictures" and being too much of a p***y to hunt.

You just had to post his pic to make sure everyone knew a black guy was saying something you perceive as negative against Obama.

Which famous politician called John McCain a carpetbagger and an oppurtunist? "not from who some of you might guess."

As cerebral and out of left field as that comment was, I would have guessed they secretly re-hired Dennis Miller.

OK...but not just any yokel gets to be governor (the proper spelling BTW).

You can downplay it and say what a bad governor she is...but her constituents seem to like her just fine.

Good to see you throwing out the talking points...regardless how inaccurate they may be.

i'll give you credit on her being governor as definitely significant. That is not a minor feat. But it's not a major one either. Certainly most presidents have been governors.

But ultimately, if you were to ask who knows more breadth of knowledge across the issues...about our constitution, about foreign policy, etc....obama & Biden clearlys knows his stuff. You may disagree with him....but you can't argue that Palin is more knowledgeable than Obama or Biden.
