I caught this small snippet in an article on the upcoming video game, NBA Live '09:

    [rquoter]
Adding Synergy has excited more than gamers, though. For Rockets GM Daryl Morey, Live 09 is a scouting tool. "We already use Synergy to game-plan," he says. "Using Live may help our players visualize the data."

If we're actually going to be relying on this stuff, I hope EA has done their homework this year.

Damn, that sounds pretty cool. Neat how they are going to update it to the game EVERY DAY. So TMAC goes off in RL....his "demeanor" should change in the game too...sweet.

I need to go DL the demo.

I don't really care so much about the game itself. But if Synergy's in-house stats are made available through this game, that could be an incredible resource for the die-hard fans. I hope all the Synergy ratings are actually visible to the user. Considering that Synergy charges for their services, I guess it's possible that the game hides it.

Dont even bother man. The demo blows and the game probably will too. Its waay to arcady. I dont like the fact that you can just hit shot after shot soo easy with just about anyone! I mean if you are into games like that then by all means go ahead but if you want more of a sim game then 2k is waaaay better. Plus 2k added a new feature called Living Rosters which is similar to what EA has now.

Just stop...... thats really pathetic..... You obviously are just completely against NBA Live. Do everyone a favor and just don't talk because the comments you made about the demo are ignorant.

live sux soo bad, i bought live 2005 for the dunk contest and was completely disgusted with the gameplay, anyone who has playd live and 2k in relatively the same year know how much better 2k is. live has had better graphics in the past(i dont think so this year) and more flashyness(player intros, huge marketing) that people get destracted from the gameplay. live is an awful nba simulation and thats not from years of loyalty to 2k, thats from years of hating live and waiting for something better to come out(exception of nba lives prior to 05 that i had bought consistently). oh and by the way AARON BROOKS PLAY NBA 2K!!!!!

You must be a cheeser that only dunks on NBA Live or shoot threes so I don't even worry about NBA 2k9 or any NBA 2k series... stay with your NBA LIVE and leave your cheese there cause it stinks!

    Cute post....

    IGN NBA Live 2006-5.9
    IGN NBA 2K6-7.8

    IGN NBA Live 2007-6.0
    IGN NBA 2K7-8.3

    IGN NBA Live 2008-6.9
    IGN NBA 2K8-7.9

In a Q&A session on NBA.com last November when Arenas was asked if he plays NBA Live he answered,"No. I play NBA 2K. It's real, the NBA 2K. The other one, now ... it's too fake."

So Live has been getting better and better? While 2K series has taken a step in the wrong direction?

BTW, you fanboys are pretty funny. I buy which ever game I enjoy more. I could careless about who makes it etc, or what other's think. Not sure which one I'm going to get yet. Probably 2K, but haven't counted Live out yet.

Yes, Live has gone from a lofty 6 to an outstanding 6.9

Slow and steady wins the race right?

Maybe by NBA Live 2015 we'll have a game........
