On top of his 5-18 performance yesterday, it seems like he's had these type of games more often this season than last. He just doesn't seem as consistent as last year. Comparing the stats they're pretty similar, but they were slightly better last season. His FG% was better, as well as his 3pt%, and he averaged more assists. Also, I don't recall seeing some of the unbelievable games like when he single-handedly beat Maryland in the last minute of the game last season. I don't know, its just an observation. But thank goodness for Daniel Ewing. Duke would be out of the tournament if it wasn't for him. I think its pretty safe to say that he will be a future contender for player of the year.
One other thing. Its not worth starting a new thread, but has T.J. Ford shown any interest in leaving early for the NBA? Its usually not common for a PG to leave early, but you never know these days. I ask because the Wizards need a "pass first shoot second" type of point guard, and he seems like he'd be perfect. Thanks.
Sorry, for some reason I thought I was in the college forum. Can someone please move the thread? Thanks.
I'm sure Jason Williams has a target on his forehead, so teams will do whatever necessary to get him out of his game. Of course, that team has other go-to guys who deserve the double-team, so who knows? I do know he'll go #1 in the draft, and it'll be interesting to see what kind of NBA player he'll make, especially as NBA players will also want to knock The Anointed One around. NOW you can move the thread.
He is overrated His size helps him physically dominate smaller players in college, but this won't be the case later on. He can't handle big game pressure usually(except Maryland last year) Isn't much of a POINT guard, as a 2 guard I don't think he'd cut it
I still think he's Marbury II. Maybe if he's put on a contender, he'll see all the players around him are excellent, and he'll pass first. But most likely, he's going to a crappy team, and will take too many shots, make half of em, and lose most of the games.
