Houston Curfew

    I came to Houston this weekend and I can't believe we have a curfew. This is ridiculous.

    Trust me...you don't want to be on the streets late at night where there is no power to the traffic lights. They come out of nowhere, and you are in the middle of an intersection.

    All of this also ignores the fact that the more people that there are on the streets, the more people impede the progress of the people trying to restore the electricity in Houston.

    It expires at 6 AM on Monday anyway, unless they renew it or institute a new one.

    You could be starting one of these threads http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=154186 , if you like being out in complete darkness. I'd rather stay home. I was almost hit by an SUV that didn't see the traffic lights that were completely out on Allen Parkway, while driving home at 8:30. The other guy slammed his brakes though. No Fwy lights, no traffic lights, no street lights and not even store lights in some areas. Then you got this trash that pops up out of nowhere, when you can only see 25-30 ft ahead.
