Putting him up there with D-Wade and Kobe means they're expecting a lot from him. A healthy T-Mac should be up there no doubt.
But, this is where he belongs at #2 - #4. T-Mac is not the scorer he once was, but like the article pointed out he might be most versatile guard in the game....He can score at will, pass, and rebound.
Well Wade won a championship with a worse Shaq then the one Kobe won with 3 times straight and Wade carried Miami going on crazy scoring runs when everyone else was cold the year after he started getting hurt a lot like Tracy McGrady. Wade gets a lot of calls that go his way with him driving to the basket but then again you got a lot of players that don't have the balls to take it hard to the paint like Wade so i'm not surprised Wade is that highly ranked looking at his career at this point with him being so young.
True,a healty Tracy is number 2 behind KB24.....If he had that killer instinct tho....man we'd be set Wade is KIND of overrated....he would have never got all that rep if Shaq wouldnt have went over there IMHO.To tell you the truth,I kinda like Jason Richardson over Wade, now he's UNDERRATED.....
Thats just my opinion....I guess ive developed a hatred for D-Wade because he is my basketball rival's hero...but Id take him on my team in a heart-beat,but certainly not over Tracy
my bad man...I need to lighten up...I have been in a bad mood...but still to say J-rich is better than d-wad is crazy
I think that Wade should be #1. The faker Koby is way overrated. He's exactly the guy who gave nothing other than the stats.
Tmacs overall impact on a basketball game is more then wade, ai, gino and so on. tracy not only can kill you with he's scoring, but he can kill you with his playmaking, passing, court vision and so on. in effect, out of that list, noone makes his teammates better then mcgrady. even kobe.
I can't believe people think Wade is overrated...when he is healthy, he is a guy who will give you 28PPG/8APG/5RPG/2.2SPG/1.4BPG on 49% shooting (those were his averages in 06-07 before the shoulder injury). He is also one of the most dependable clutch players in the league, was on an All-Defensive 2nd team and has a championship ring. Anyway, T-Mac is right where he should be...#3. Any lower or higher is pretty ridiculous IMO, healthy or not. After #3 the list is pretty questionable, but I'm delighted to see they got the top 3 correct.
Wade has the ring so he deserves the #2 spot, but I think Tracy is the better player. You can't teach passing and court vision that of which he possesses and the fact that he rarely ever turns the ball over or makes mental mistakes is very overlooked. What separates Tracy from Bryant and Jordan, as he approaches age 30, other than the lack of success obviously, is his horrendous shot selection. What set those two apart was an uncanny ability to hit the middle distance jumper at will. Tracy is too complacent settling for 3's or pullup off balance jumpers off one leg. As his athleticism continues to deteriorate, if he is serious about maintaining his status as an elite wing and wants to avoid the plight of Vince Carter by slipping into obscurity, he needs to dedicate himself to watching film of Jordan and KB24 and their footwork with the middle distance jumpshot. It's the only thing he can do to extend his career and remain relevant. If that other ranking of Ron Artest as the #4 small forward in the league is pretty much consensus, and Yao is the best center in the league, there's really no excuses this year. 3rd best shooting guard, best center, and the 4th best small forward. That is a serious collection of talent in their primes.
