The word police generally come out when people say stupid things. And then they gain credibility when the other party can't explain why they used said words.

obviously you have a guilt ridden conscience that you are so sensitive to words that people use....

It doesn't change the fact of my point that Biden is an admitted communist.

Tim McVeigh was in the military, too. Both him and Jeremiah Wright share a hatred of America (well, before McVeigh was executed)

ARe you trivalizing what Tim McVeigh did with his terrorist attack on our nation?

Why would you try and compare it to Wright, who said some crazy things, but never did anything harmful, and served this nation with honor, and extended his military service to this nation by choice?

    Shame on you.

Here you go again, using Gates and Buffet as examples, which itself is pretty idiotic since they hardly represent anyone else.

Let's use your logic for a minute
The data shows from 2002 to 2006, the top 1% paid a higher percentage of AGI in income taxes than any other group, in fact the top 1% earner have always been paying a higher percentage than any other group. The middle class supposedly paying a higher tax rate is just a lie.

So no matter how you look at it, the top 1% pays a higher percent of the total income tax share, as well as a higher percent of their own income. This is a progressive tax system, its not even debatable. Kinda makes me wonder who is the one that really doesn't know.

Now if you want to create a special tax rate just for Gates and Buffet, be my guest, but that's not what the Obama plan is. He is targeting people over 250k, and that's not even in top 1%.

What are you talking about.....AIG is a whole differenct story from Fannie and coincidentally should not be getting bailed out by the feds either...

Go back about 15 years when Dingy Harry Reid and the rest of the dems during the Clinton era were urging Fannie Mae to give loans to minorities who were not qualified under the logical guidelines of lending. So to offset these high risk loans the lending institutions had to get creative with ARMS 80/20s, etc in order to make a profit. Now we are reaping the seeds sown by the rolling snowball and its come to a head. And to top it off the dems are not crying foul for predatory lending practices that they asked for....

Now I am not saying that its all the dems fault, lord knows there is enough blame to go around and 90% of those idiots on capital hill should be fired and term limits set in...

But get back to me when you are prepared to admit the true facts....

If you make less than 100k, your already pay less than 10% of your income in federal taxes. And if you are the bottom 50% in income, you only pay 3%. Maybe they should just pay no taxes at all then. Here is a great idea, let's tax Gates and Buffet at 95%, and the rest of us at 1%, that would make it really progressive.

Yeah and all whites are racist crackers right?

Listen up Karl Marx....before you and your BBS cronies go around tossing out the racist label, or any other label for that matter, you should at least know the person and have some idea of their character; let alone more proof then your ignorant misinterpretation from a post in a blog.

Here are a few question for you if you are really black.

If you are sucking on the government welfare teet and you are black, doesn't that still make you slave non the less? And why do the dems kick and scream so much when anyone tries to implement welfare reform like back in the 1990s? All the doom and gloom that was said to happen if the imposed the changes turned out to be all for not....instead people actually got responsible for themselves and got a job.

How do you feel about the way Clarence Thomas was treated in the judiciary hearings by your good friend Joe Biden, or Ted Kennedy? Now thats racist my friend with some hypocrisy sprinkled on top.

The democrats love the black voters until you admit that you are a conservative......then whoa nelly watch out!

But the top part of that 1% pays a lower percentage of their total income.

    That's the definition of regressive

Good. He should. People with incomes over 250k have a lot more to lose and created this mess.

Of course, this ignores the simple fact that income tax does not represent the full tax burden taken out of income. Until you include payroll taxes, the numbers are worthless if you're trying to determine the burden each group bears.

I think the better questions is why do you think he IS deservering of the nomination?

But then again that wasn't the topic of this thread now was it?

I won't, because of the following list of things you don't understand:

    Economics
    Capitalism
    Communism
    Socialism
    Finance

    Beyond your depth.

I don't know the breakdown of how those figures are created but i'm sure much of it is significantly skewed by the .1 or less % of people that perhaps run hedge funds or recieve stock as their massive compensation. As a hedge fund managers compensation is a shift from limited to general partners, its considered an investment and therefore if held over a year must pay capital gains tax which at the long-term highest level is now 15%.

The Jim Simons and Steve Cohen's of the world would skew that figure to give the illusion that the top 1% are paying less. I really don't think that top 1% figure pay less can be true for most reasonably successful people that are making $250k a year. Raising their taxes due to a small fractional group skewing the figures I think does not provide justice.

More concerning to me than direct taxes, are indirect taxes and increases on the cost of goods and services due to Obama/Biden's perspective on free trade, and the burden of additional rules and requirements that will force them to pass those costs on to consumers. As lower income people spend a disproportionate amount of their income on consumption, this will ultimately indirectly cost them more. Maybe I should start a new thread on this subject.

    Thoughts?
