I bought this game earlier tonight at best buy so i could put it on my desk and shine my flashlight on it while i wait until power comes back! i want to play this so bad!
Personally, I think so. It feels more solid. It's hard to explain, but with the original strat it felt mushy when you strummed. It doesn't feel that way anymore.
I really wish they would have put more effort into character creation and wardrobe along with the World Tour mode. These seem to be almost identical to RB1. I was surprised with the lack of new character creation options. If anyone ever wants to play online my gamertag is MASTER CHIEFERS, send me a friend invite. I will be playing this game a lot. I play guitar or bass on expert.

XBox: JLucas4092 My band is Thy Fighting Mongooses. I used The Fighting Mongooses for the first game, so I couldn't use it. Tha Fighting Mongooses wasn't deemed "classy". So apparently, we're now British. And 700 years old. FEAR THY FIGHTING MONGOOSES!
Finally bought this over the weekend. Tons of fun so far, although I'm starting to question my decision to try to beat all the challenges. From what I understand, the only real benefit from that is getting special outfits. Probably still try to beat them. Love that any character you create can play any instrument.

I'm way behind on songs I wanted to download/buy. I really want the entire Rush album and the Offspring pack. There's also individual songs that have come out the last few weeks that I want. I told my wife about the total ripoff AC/DC disc that will be sold in Walmart and she got ridiculously excited even though I told it would be $40. So I guess we'll get that eventually as well.
The download song they are coming out with are great. They came out last week with the Chili Peppers entire BloodSexSugarMagik album which is a classic. I now have 275 songs......man I have spent a lot of money on this game
I got the RROD two weeks ago. I'm really hoping I get that bad boy back this week. I still have yet to play any of Blood Sugar Sex Magic and I really want some of the stuff from this week.
Ah, I thought you just didn't like me when I sent you a friend request My original 360 had a single red light of death error...I sent it to MS as a RROD repair, and they sent me another console. The console they sent me had a RROD as soon as I turned it on... At least I got a free month of Live and a 3 month repair warranty out of it. Which reminds me, time to request another repair...
I don't think I did. I've been without the 360 for almost two weeks now. Although my neighbor said he saw me sign on this last Sunday, which is kind of strange.
Awesome! One of my favorite bands of all time. I was bummed out when BUzzfest was cancelled cuz I have wanted to see them live ever since middle school. i was waiting for the pack which had been rumored for a while.
So I was going to get this next week, but our contractor showed up on Saturday and took our Dish off the house. So to give us something to do at night I decided to pick it up for PS3 on Monday when it was released. I decided to do in store pickup at a large electronics dealer (Don't want to mention the name for reasons that will become apparent soon, but it is the opposite of Worst Sell). I have RB1 so I just wanted to get the game so I set that up and get my wife to swing by at lunch to pick it up. She emails me at work and says she got it but to call her. I call and she asks if it was supposed to be a little box or a big box. I tell her little it was just the game, thinking she saw the big boxes ans thought that was what I wanted. She says well they gave me a huge box, that says special edition. I say that is the wrong thing, check the receipt for the price. It said about $65. I check her credit card and it shows a $65 hold on it. So we decide to return it because one it was the right thing to do and with all the stuff we've had happen to us lately we don't need any "bad karma" on our side. She returns after work to trade it out. Walks in and tells the girl working that she thinks she got the wrong thing and needs to return it. The girl takes the receipt looks at it and tells her no it is right. My wife insists it is not and says she expected it to be in a smaller box. The girl again says no you got the right thing Rock band 2 and we don't need to exchange it. They would not take it back so my wife left with the SE. So I have been playing on my new wireless drums all week. I am a little disappointed in the 20 free track list. I expected it to be a bunch of "up and coming" bands but figured they would at least throw in a couple of known entities. But oh well at least they are free and will be released on Nov. 4th.
Has anyone else gotten the Bacman Turner achievement? I just can NOT get 90 straight seconds of overdrive. It's killing me. There are only 5 more achievements I need. The band challenge I should be able to get easily and I'll eventually get the revenge one, so this is the only one that's driving me insane.
oh man the No Doubt Singles Collection came out today for rockband. Man need to stop by the store and pick up some points to download that sucker. I bought GHWT which has some great songs on it but the default playlist on it when compared to rockband 2 isn't very good. and it seems like RB2 is getting better DLC for the game. No Doubt baby I am going to be playing those tracks all weekend.
