Nope, not unless the Kansas and Illinois contingents become Texas fans all of a sudden. Bank on it - Oregon will have more fan support.
They will get fan support. It isn't that teams are cheering for Texas, but are cheering for the perceived weaker opponent. Unless they know Oregon is weaker, but the media and selection committee have done a good job hiding this.
The state of Texas and what it represents is "hated" in other parts of the country. The University of Texas may be more hated.
