Sounds like the majority of Centerpoint customers will be back online in the next few days, however Entergy customers will probably have a longer wait.
I am currently on my way back, changing planes in Atlanta, and so is Steve Francis. Franchise is on my plane.
Ask him if his house has electricity and see if he will allow some clutchfans members to hang out, starting with his greatest fan, Rocketball.............
Saw it in several places, such as the conroe courier website, but its the Lewis Creek plant on Lake Conroe that is causing big problems in Montgomery County. The City of Conroe issued a statement today that the water however was safe(www.cityofconroe.org). Also, Conroe ISD is off all week. Poor kids, get back to school for a couple weeks and then get a not so pleasant vacation that will make their next summer shorter.
Had to charge up my laptop and cell at the Willowbrook mall. Posting from BWW. I dread going back home to blackness.
Here. No power but house has gas so I can cook and take a hot shower. Currently at wife's hospital charging up my cell phone and getting Internet access. Hope everyone's okay! Edit: I live West Rd@Beltway (77064). Wife works at St. Christus Hospital, which only lost power for a bit (generator failed).
I'm good. We got our electricity back this afternoon. I live near BW8 and West. That Ike screwed us over. Damaged roof and fence.
Neighborhood right after the elementary. We got our electricity around 1:00pm. I dont know if WB has its power back... can go and cruise over if you want me to check.
amen brother, I just wish she didn't cake the makeup on like that. Me likey more natural looking women, but damn the things I would do to that woman. Appreciate the concern guys...but you aughta know that only the good die young, means I'll live to a ripe old age and it will take more than Ike to take me out. loike moe said...lost entire back fence, the big tree behind it came down and took out the fence and the wife's shaded gazebo thingy. (I got pics, Ill post later after we get some juice back.) I would have checked in sooner but Sprint's network has been very flaky and even tho I could make a call from time to time, my wireless card has been worthless up till now. Spent the day waiting in line for gas to keep the generator runnin and thrashed my little chainsaw tryin to clear the trees out of my backyard. WE have a few stores open in limited capacity, thankfully one of them was the Stop and Rob at the corner with functioning gas pumps. I got a major tease last night, about 1am the power flashed on for about a minute, just enough time for me to jump up and turn on the AC before it went back off......what a damn tease. Let me tell yall....if you live in this area, a generator is a MUST BUY. I am sooo thankful that we were fully prepared and doubly thankful that it seems we as an area seem to have escaped without a large loss of life. timmy....probably not the best time for it at this point. just remember folks...we are all in this together, help your neighbors out if you can...right now all we got is each other.
Just got power back in the 77449 zip code, near Fry and Clay. It was a horror story: no HD, no interwebs, no wireless access with my laptop, no links in my cell phone. I'm sending this one in to "The NEw Twilight Zone". Here's another vote for Dominique Sachse's Cans. "Aren't you going to watch MNF now that the power's back on?" "Um, NO, Channel 2 has GREAT coverage..."
I have no power because of this down power line. 6500 block of Mapleridge. Another vote for the cans...
