I have no electricity at home and desperately need to get the hell out of this house for a while. Please use this thread to post any restaurants/bars/coffee shops/ etc that you know are open in town. Thanks guys.

same here. drove around and saw a lot of lines down, lights hanging, trees down. The only things I saw open were several gas stations. We should start a thread to see which stores/restaurants are open. I tried ordering pizza but nothing doing.

Baskin/Robbins at Westheimer and Dunvale was open and packed. For some reason, the whole strip center made up of about 6 stores had power, including a Quiznos, but they had to close because of the mad rush.

Y'all hook a brother up here....

I've been living at this refinery for three days now, I have not slept since midnight Friday morning, and for the past two days, I've been eating self heating boxes of preserved crap that the company has provided.

Please, please, please, if someone knows of a restaurant in Deer Park that is open, let me know.

Agh. My parents wanted to take me out for a birthday dinner tonight and I love Taste of Texas, but I've called a few times and no one is answering.

dang it! I was supposed to go to my friend's house to eat bbq because they are cooking up all the stuff that they can't store because they have no power to the fridge. Will it be just a warning or a fine?

Now I hear it's effective for the evacuated areas only. The looter sighs.

Be careful heading out since it looks like there is a lot of powerlines and debris down.
