Thank you everybody for the messages- my family is in the Olde Oaks subdivision, FM 1960, 77068 zip code- their phone is busy. If anyone has any updates or can post any updates later, much appreciated. Also have family off Aldine-Westfield- well actually, I think its the Birnamwood area a few miles east of Aldine-Westfield.

Damn, I think my power is going to go out soon. Lights flickered a second ago.

^^ apparently text messaging over cellphones has a better chance of getting through than calling. Text them to call you.

whats so different than 105 and 110... nothing to really get excited over, it will drop once it hits inland.

So am I. The power always goes out in my neighborhood. During Rita it went out around 2am and remained that way for a good 12 hours. All it's going to take are a few gusts of wind unfortunately.

Power outages? Already? Damn, I'm glad I just finished doing my laundry (in anticipation of a possible loss of power for a few days). The wife's cooking dinner, and I hope she finishes before the power cuts out. :)
