Yup, 'cause the McCain campaign didn't do any political maneuvering on 9/11.

Michelle stayed home with the kids because it was God's will... or is it something Abraham Lincoln once recommended, I forget.

It figures, Trader_Jorge is the only piece of trash vile enough to turn the 9/11 memorial into a political attack thread.

If Obama was the only person to callously toss a flower, how did all of those other ones get into the footprints in the memorial pond? Did you even know where they were placing them?

Or could it be that John McCain simply can't throw a flower?

That's probably closer to the truth. Looks like he was getting in a position where he could more easily throw it given the injuries to his arms.

Did Trader_Jorge travel to NY yesterday, or is he not obligated to be "patriotic"?

The very fact that the candidates are somehow expected to make a big show of 9/11 and travel to Ground Zero is itself an issue of politics, not patriotism. If it was only about patriotism, then we'd expect the same thing from candidates and non-candidates alike.

Do you have kids? (What am I saying? Of course you don't.) 7 year olds are sometimes not the most confident types the first week or so of school. They have to get the routine down before they feel comfortable. It is not at all surprising she stayed. Our school has been going on since last Thursday and I'm still walking my 6 yo to First Grade, going into the classroom, and helping her get settled to start the day. By midweek next week, I'll just walk her to school. Within another week or so, I'll let her walk with just her big sister. Also, you typically have more interaction with the teachers and staff during the first few weeks as your kid gets tested and evaluated from reading to math to hearing and speech.

On the previous campaigning, you know, we now have these things called airplanes that can transport people quickly to other places. Indiana and Ohio are within easy travel of Chicago. It's not like she was in Florida or New Mexico. She could easily fit a few stops in during the day or after school.

(This thread is worth at least $10)

This piece by Joe Scarborough sums it up well. It was so soon after 9-11 -- literally just 5 days -- that the Trinity churchgoers were whipped into a wild frenzy listening to Wright accuse America of being at fault for 9-11. What were your emotions 5 days after 9-11? Would you have been whoopin it up at church during this somber time? Should our future president have been doing it? Is that patriotism or just anger?

Just like the McCain campaign, TJ has no shame and is perfectly comfortable with outright lying and gross distortions to gain the upper hand. The American people are tired of it and can see it for what it is.

Not this year, not this time…

    LOL

    This post made my day..

And yeah, TJ, you are a despicable piece of trash for using the deaths of 3,000 Americans as political propaganda.
