Ejected after throwing a Tv on the court after a no foul call. Lets see any predictions on suspension? 5 games and has to buy a new Tv! LOL I think he also damaged the floor. so might have to buy a new floor for the magic hahahahahah
I believe Darrell Armstrong took the tv and put it back on the scorer's table. He recieved a huge cheer from the crowd for doing that.
Maybe there was a show he wanted to watch, and it was one of those satellite deals that didn't get local channels. Can't really blame the guy for getting pissed in that case.
http://www.nba.com/games/20020315/DENORL/recap.html Orlando 124, Denver 102 Magic Shoot Lights Out to Keep Rolling ORLANDO, Fla, March 15 (Ticker) -- Tim Hardaway may have sent a television airborne, but Tracy McGrady and the Orlando Magic made sure the Denver Nuggets stayed grounded. McGrady had 30 points, nine assists and seven rebounds as the Magic matched their season-high winning streak with their fourth consecutive victory, 124-102 over the hapless Nuggets. The All-Star swingman had several highlight-worthy layups and dunks, but the play of the game came from Hardaway, who, after being ejected following his second technical foul midway through the third quarter, took out his frustrations on a courtside TV monitor. Hardaway, who had been held scoreless in 17 minutes, launched the monitor about 30 feet onto the court. Orlando's Darrell Armstrong, who earlier had been assessed a double technical with Hardaway for trash-talking, returned the monitor to its rightful place on press row and plugged it back in, earning cheers from the crowd. Orlando took the lead for good at 4-2 on a basket by McGrady, whose two free throws at the end of the third quarter gave the Magic a 93-83 advantage. Denver trailed by at least nine points thereafter. Troy Hudson scored 24 points and Pat Garrity and Monty Williams added 18 apiece for Orlando, which shot 55 percent (46-of-84) from the field en route to its 10th consecutive win over Denver and eighth straight home victory. Juwan Howard had 20 points and 11 rebounds and Antonio McDyess scored 18 points for Denver, which dropped its third straight game.
After being ejected from Friday night's game, Denver's Tim Hardaway threw this television set onto the court. Darrell Armstrong retrieved it and returned it to its place courtside. Following the game, the television was autographed by both Armstrong and Hardaway. The television will be auctioned and proceeds will benefit the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation. Check back here on www.orlandomagic.com for auction details.
Amazing what people will buy at auctions. That took class though him signing it or charity....it is for a good cause. You gotta love this game!
wtf... The TV is in better shape than I thought it would be. Is there a vid clip of this toss anywhere?
Go to nba.com and look in the highlights section from NBA.com TV (upper right corner). In the complete highlights section, they have a listing for all of yesterday's games. Look for Denver at Orlando; it's in that package.
Not only that, it still worked when they plugged it back in. I sense an advertising opportunity here somewhere. "Home team having a rough year? This is the TV for you . . . "
I'm with you there, lol. That program has gone from good to piece of garbage about as fast as the TV was thrown across the court!
