PS3 has the best game system as in hardware and capability. 360 has the best games. I give the edge to PS3 because of the great amount of quality games coming out for 2008/2009, and I am more of a 360 "fanboy".
You should stick to Friday story time, bud. Chamillionaire, this is the correct answer. Though there are some pretty solid, complex games on the PSP and DS.
If graphics doesn't really matter, I really don't think you should spend money on any of the new systems, even WII unless you go for the controllers. Just get(or keep) a gamecube/ps2 for some nice gaming.
It does have some good games, but like Crisco said, they were all out early. The better part of this year has been very, very quiet. Of course, chances are next year will have a lot of announcements and because it sells so well all the developers will probably want to have some sort of Wii projects out. Then again you don't have the system at all so the stuff we've already played will be new to you anyway so you may not even notice.... In any case, everything has it's good and bad. As someone else said, the Wii paired with another system is a good combination. I currently have a 360/Wii combo and it's been pretty solid.
Shes 6. She loves the 360 though. With the new $199.00 arcade system,I might just buy her one instead of the Wii.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought not all of the Wii games are compatible with the Gamecube controller. The only ones I know that are, are Smash Bros Brawl and Mario Kart Wii.
PC is the best system hands down, there is no debate on this If you HAVE to own a console, I would go with a backwards compatible PS3 (60GB version for example). It allows you to play all your PS2 classics plus all the new games that the 360 doesn't have. For everything else, play it on your PC. Even a $600 machine can play all the newest games (Bioshock, DMC4, CoD4, etc) on relatively high settings
I haven't owned (or wanted) a console since the fall of the Soviet Union and the untimely death of my Mega Drive cartridge slot.. That's how good the PC is
