obama was really forthright about his tax plans. i'm still waiting for mccain to talk about his publicly.
I don't get the point with this video that you are trying to make. He said he didn't wanna start campaigning before serving a day in the senate...so? He served about 143 days in the Senate I believe before he announced his candidacy...correct me if I am wrong. So what's your point here? Also most politicians won't admit that they may run for an office before they actually make the announcement officially..so again..what's the big deal and what does that have to do with CHANGING the policies in the White House?
McCain is the trickle down advocate but won't say how he is going to help average workers. Obama wants to raise taxes, but he hasn't set a bar on where the rates go up. Small business owners like myself are very concerned about what his policies will mean to us. The large corporations and super wealthy will never pay much in taxes because they have legions of CPAs to build shelters and tax havens. However, I'm not worried about whoever wins. I'm selling my business effective Dec. 31 and doing the retirement dance. If things get too bad, I'm moving to Belize or Costa Rica, depending on where I can get the Rockets games on satellite or cable.
Is it just me..or if he does four clips of about 6 minutes each..where are the other 6 minutes from the interview? Is old O'Reilly cutting portions of the convo where Obama cleans his clock even more?
impressive from obama. almost makes me want to vote for him if he sticks to what he was saying in this interview. let's see if he flip flops later...
No it's not, it is giving you and 95% of the rest of America a tax break. It is asking people like Warren Buffet who paid only 18% because of capital gains to pay their fair share. I think the vast majority of the voting public has no clue.....none as to how taxes work. They are going to be getting a tax break from Obama, it is only the top tenth of 1 percent that will be effected. DD
Personally Im for kicking the IRS the hell out of dodge and going to a flat fair consumption tax. People will spend their money more wisely and there will be enough or more money for the government without all the headaches. Go after businesses that don't turn in their taxes and leave poor people alone.
I liked the interview as well. Again, Obama looks good while facing tough questions from O'Reilly. I'm really curious to see the part re: Rev. Wright and Ayers. That could very well make or break where my vote goes. Agreed.
at around 5:25, did obama just laugh at bill directly? bill was getting heated and obama was just laughing b/c he's getting heated while he himself is just having a typical discussion. that alone shows you who won the argument.
that's a strange assessment. he does well answering questions regarding the #1 issue - economy, #2 issue - national security, and yet you will base your vote on his association with wright and ayers??? am i missing something here?
I don't think it was as much of an argument as it was a test. bill wanted to throw some random numbers out there and see how obama would react to them.
I can't think of anybody who has handled an O'reilly interview as well as Obama has thus far. Well done Barack!
Yeah, I thought there was some bad editing done by FOX News...some parts, I thought Obama was going to add something on, but then all of a sudden O'Reilly came in...I think it happened two or three times in that 7 min segment Nevertheless, Obama handled himself extremely well and I like how O'Reilly is trying to push Obama's buttons and love how Obama is staying composed
Stinkin' Monday Night Football! I totally forgot about this interview! BTW- Game two was horrible Denver 41 Oakland 14
he's ready for the debates man. i know those debates are when he'll shine. i think he learned a lot from the saddleback forum in trying to make his answers more concise. if he performs like this in the debates, he should earn A LOT of voters.
