The last scene with Drama and Turtle was pretty awesome. I think we need to see E getting somewhere without Vince, just to cause tension and conflict. They can't just have Vince acting like a baby and everyone else catering to him for another season, I want to see E becoming more like Ari while getting more clients, an artist vs. the suit fight with Vince, a life without Vince, and ultimately reconsilliation at the finale. Otherwise, we'll have 5 seasons and 0 character developement.
It hurts sometimes. Just when you're getting excited, it cuts off. I disagree with people that thought this was a bad episode. It was a season premiere getting you caught up with what was going on the last 6 months. I enjoyed it.
Really good episode. I agree with making the show an hour long. A 22 minute show every Sunday is pretty whack.
Nothing really happened on a show where nothing really happens...except partying, agent representing actor, vacationing, hooking up with chicks, relationships between friends playing out, Drama being Drama, and just having a good time. What really happened this episode was the transition from the bomb "Medellin" to Vince getting his acting swagger back, i.e. ready to get back to making films before he becomes known as the that guy from that movie with the bad make-up. But, yeah, nothing really happened per usual. Just "Entourage" being "Entourage". Next week...Vince will testify at a congressional hearing on the cocaine trade...based on his own avid research in prepping for the Pablo Escobar role. lol
I liked it because it seemingly put the nail in the coffin for "Medellin" we ended last season with Harvey saying there was genius in the film and buying it for $1... thus giving all of us a glimmer of hope that Vince would once again get lucky (that guy gets every break in the world) and "Medellin" would be a hit. Instead - we find in the real world that it was a HUGE FLOP and Vince's career is looking like it may flush away into an abyss... That NEVER happens to Vince - like he is prone to always saying... "it'll work out - it always does." This time it didn't - and now Vince has to fight his way back to the top and actually try - which seems to be the direction Season 5 is heading. I really like it.
It started off great with T&A, then eh...I guess the payoff will happen later once E gets more clients and Vince gets back on his feet... I want to find out where I can live like a king in Mexico for $79/day...
That comes out to about $28,835 a year. I'm sure you could live comfortably in Mexico for that amount. Good luck...and don't forget to write us here! P.S. - If you want to be swarmed by chicks like that, then you better bring a famous actor, a con, or more money.
quick question since i didnt hear it all properly last night Spoiler what did the other agent say to Ari about vince's meeting with that director of "danger beach/high tide" that pissed Ari off so much I caught like it was something like it was a ploy to get the actor the director really wanted at a cheaper rate? it was all pretty fast and i was watching with a bunch of friends last so i couldnt rewind to re-watch.
Spoiler Yeah, the producer was just using Vince to make the agent think there was competition for the role in an effort to get the actor he wanted at a cheaper rate. He never actually wanted Vince for the part.
unless you want the file to keep, torrents are a waste of time. there are about 10 million tv show websites where you can watch it, without DL anything.
HBO keeps comedy to 30 minutes and drama at 1 hour. HOWEVER, they should put season premiere and season endings at 1 hour if the 30 minute version goes nowhere. They do this for Curb.
Hopefully they have the chick from this most recent ep when we first see Vince because she had a body on her.
I think this is definetely happening. Throughout the series one of the recurring storylines is E's rise through the Hollywood ranks. Going from "pizza boy" to the Murphy Group and eventually being like Ari. In the premiere when Ari and E get to Mexico, Vince and Turtle joke about E starting to look and sound like Ari. Also nice to see the character of Justine Chapin (from the first season) returning. Leighton Meester is hot stuff.
