WOW! Dallas was destroyed by the Blazers tonight 132-106. And the the sad part of the score was that it was not as close as it would seem. Portland was up by as many as 44 points in the third quarter. Another classic example of a game why Dallas shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath when it comes to title contenders against the Lakers. They can't play defense! Reaf LaFrentz and NVE gives them more offense, not defense. Until Cuban can figure that out, Dallas will continue to get smoked by good teams by scores of 125-115.

Common man, it was just one bad game. All teams have bad games. I seriously doubt a team would have the 2nd best record in the league if they couldn't play defense. Give em a break, you can be sure that they're gonna come out gunning the next game.

Dallas has the worst defense in the league, statistically speaking. This wasn't a one game fluke.

The Dallas Mavericks really are one of the worst defensive teams in the league though. Their opponents score an average of 101.5, highest in the league. The Mavericks win simply because they have more offensive firepower.

Well I think both you guys are neglecting Portland's great offense. There simply a better team then the Mavericks, its no secret people. They have won 13 out of their last 14 and gain momentum with every victory. Wallace is simply showing that he is in fact the best power forward in the league. Pippen is raising the question, Micheal who??? They have the Wizards on Saturday which seems like another great victory to me.

While they're not a good defensive team, that's a bit misleading. They play a faster paced game than most teams, so their opponents get more possessions. They're ranked #21 in defensive fg % and #25 in opponents' points per possession.

Very bad for an elite team, but nost last :D.

Look at who the Blazers have played. A weak schedule until recently has fueled that drive.

Better than the Mavs? Hardly. One game does not a season make - 82 does. And the Mavs have proven to this point, 75% through the season, that they are the better team.

Pippen isn't raising any questions of "Michael who?" He's putting up decent numbers for an aging small forward and that's it. He's not rocking the world at all.

Wallace the best PF in the league? Over Duncan, Garnett, Brand, and company? Not really.

The Blazers may be hot, but to put them up there like that? Win a playoff game first.

    We beat Dallas 124-87...

So, I guess we're better team than the Mavs, right?

The Blazers have gotten their act together, though. Of course one spark tossed into that gas tank can destroy it all, but they're on a tear. Haven't they nearly caught Minnesota in the standings?

Haven, watched these guys all year and you're RIGHT ON.

Main problem is that they lack an enforcer type and Shawn (the Wimp) Bradley has been a total no show. Nelson is more than aware of their problem, and that's why Buckner, Adrian Griffin et. al. will get significant minutes. All that being said, they're damn hard to beat.

Did anybody watch the game? The Blazers were full court pressing in the 3rd quarter and a 40 point lead! Also, the Blazers were throwing punches, getting technicals, screaming and yelling on every possession and throwing headbands etc. It was a freakshow. The Blazers are a timebomb. They are good but look like a bunch of misfits. Ruben Patterson fits right in.

Well apparently it is because you people seem suprised that the Blazers are winning. And I would hardly call 14 pts and 12 assists decent numbers for a small forward, their great numbers. His average still doesn't reflect his ability but his numbers are slowly improving. Just for good knowledge Wallace is the best Power Forward in the league, he has the best inside and outside game of any power forward in the league. Hes not like Garnett or Duncan, scoring alot of points on a team with virtually no other scorers. The only person close to him is Webber but hes just simply not as good as Wallace. Brand ha ha good one, I won't even dignify that one with a response.

Yeah I saw the highlights of that freakshow. Dale Davis is coward and savage. That swing he took at Bradley was totally premeditated. The whole Portland bench was on the edge of their seats in anticipation, they knew what was coming. Then right after the Bradley incident happen did you see the looks of stupid glee on their ignorant faces? Patterson and Anderson and that team of followers looked like ignorant heartless brutes gawking and laughing at a man because he just about had his head taking off. That pussie Pippen fits right in that herd of misfits. Im about the size of Steve Nash but if i was on that court during the time of that incident there would not have been even a split second of hesitation before I ran up swinging and spitting in everyone them scumbags faces.

Wow you must be as stupid as you sound call Pippen a "pussie". You would probably get knocked out by Steve Kerr the smallest guy on the Portland squad. If you were on the court you would probably go and hide behind the ref because you know that any guy on that team would seriously hurt you. And now the team is finally united there together which is a great thing.

Dont you think you should hold on to your trash talking atleast till your crappy team actually beats the Lakers in the playoffs?

If you really think Wallace is better then Duncan and Garnett then its pointless arguing with your dumb ass. I like Wallace, but that idiot is one technical away in a crucial playoff game from being labeled the biggest idiot in the NBA.

Yeah 14 pts and 12 assts(!) would be great numbers for a small forward. IF THAT WERE HIS AVERAGE! One game is not going to make a great player out of that pussie Quitten.

Your team of Anderson, Patterson, Quitten, Stoudamire, Bonzi, Wallace and Davis are going to be b**** slapped around in the playoffs. None of those a-holes have shown any heart when it comes to the playoffs.

Do all your trash talking now you little hoe, because come playoff time your pussie punk ass team are going to show what they really are: nothing but a bunch of HEARTLESS JAILBLAZERS!

He He big words from a little man, please remind me how is your team doing. Are they going to the playoffs, ooo wait no there not, there going to have an early vacation. Pippen alone has the playoff experience that would be enough for one team. Don't worry about me, my words will be heard for as long as Pippen is a Trailblazer. If you can't see that Wallace's talent is far greater then anyone elses then theres no point in trying to explain it to you. Come playoff time the Blazers are going to show you're sorry little butt up by winning it all behind the scoring of the whole team. Its a team guy, every Blazer makes an equal contribution, lots of teams could learn from them.
