I only recently started to watch Fox News a lot, probably about 6 months ago. I've always heard about the extreme right-wing bias and I always look out for it when I watch. But to be completely honest, I really do not see it. Sure, most if not all of their anchors lean to the right but I never see anything but fair reporting. It was hard for me to believe at first, I thought they might be tricking me or something, but I truly believe Fox News is the most "fair and balanced" of all the cable news channels. Granted, I think their presentation sucks and they need to switch over to HD.

I see the 3 cable news nets (cnn, msnbc, fox news) slop for the masses.

Olbermann won't be happy until he gets his own show on HBO like Bill Maher where he's free to bash away.

If we could only combine the bitter loathing by Cons against Olbermann with the intense hatred of Libs against O' Reilly.

    Domestic energy shortage solved.

Sounds like whining from the McCain campaign got NBC to pull the plug.

what are they going to do next? ask for the removal of Rachel maddow's new show ?(which premieres tonight) :)

If something happens to her show, I will never watch MSNBC again! And I don't care that they give marathons of Locked up on turkey day!

Great news! I watched a half hour of those two last week and couldn’t handle any more. Olbermann is so over the top and obnoxious. The words journalist and Olbermann should never be in the same sentence.

The media isn't liberal biased, it's intelligence biased. Most members of the media are highly educated, rigorously trained in journalistic ethics and go into the profession in the first place, out of a sense of duty to report the truth. It certainly isn't for the money. But it's getting harder and harder to be unbiased as the outlets of journalism get more and more dependent on profitablility.

So, how would a liberal bias draw more advertising from corporate sponsors?

If you give soldiers your unquestioning support you should give the media the benefit of the doubt because our freedoms absolutely depend on the integrity of the fourth estate. There is no democracy without a free press.

Typed in the Palin thread, fits better in this thread.

Admittedly, I didn't watch Olbermann on MSNBC much, but I gotta say, the guy is extremely entertaining to listen to... about sports, that is. Especially in person. He's a nice guy and a total baseball dork.

I never have really paid attention to Olberman on MSNBC but I enjoyed him when he was an anchor on ESPN.

As someone who isn't entirely and completely annoyed by Olbermann, I still never watch him. I don't find it annoying like many, just not entertaining.

That said, it's hard to fathom what MSNBC executives thought they'd be getting by letting Keith roll with the election anchor chair. He is what he is, which is, more or less, the liberal version of the O'Reilly's/Limbaugh's of the world (though depending on your viewpoint, you could argue not nearly as extreme, and certainly none of his baggage has come out of the closet yet).

This could come back to hurt MSNBC, too, as they really are kind of the forgotten news channel and sensationalism, as annoying and useless as it is, does seem to work.
