Hey guys.. I am thinking of getting one of these new Samsung Instinct phones.. Was wondering if anyone here is using one, and what you honestly think of it? Right now, it would be kind of like marrying a blind date, and I would really like to have some genuine opinions before making such a committment..
I had an instinct and returned it. The internet browser is terrible and the phone was real buggy and slowed down a lot. Wait for the touch diamond that is coming out next week I believe or the touch pro that is coming out in october.
My best friend does. We put our phones side by side (mine is an iPhone) and compared the two. Basically they are really similar. The lack of gyroscope function is really annoying, but the voice nav is nice. As for the internet, sprint claims it's faster, and data says so too, but when we did stuff on the net, the iPhone seems faster. I think the browser for the instinct is extremely lacking, and it has problems with web sites that aren't streamlined for mobile devices. Above all, it is the number two of phones out there. It's no iPhone, but good golly damn it's good.
I have two sprint instincts (the other for my wife). This is the best phone we have ever owned. In the past, I had blackberry's, palm treo's, razors but this phone second to none. I use the voice navigation a lot because i'm a business owner. The browser is pretty fast, internet radio is great. Also, it's pretty durable, my wife got mad at me last month and threw the phone onto a concrete street and it still works perfectly fine. Overall, this is a great phone especially for the price $129 after rebate.
