Found a comparison between the specifics of each of the canditates speeches. It's interesting to see their details compared side by side: pretty much confirms my opinion that Obama not only was more inspring but delieverd more specifics in his speech.

Both have points that are a little vague and I think that is to be expected; it seems rare to hear about the specifics of specifics. But it seems that Obama's speech had more meet and more details that make sense; he provides more solutions and ways of reaching them whereas McCain seems to offer more general answers.

Thanks for that. It was an interesting exercise to compare them side-by-side. I found that:

    1. There's a lot of these they talked about that I really don't care much about.

    2. There's a lot of issues on which they make the same vague promises. Ex: their promises on energy are pretty similar.

    3. I dislike Obama's focus on jobs "right here in America." His approach is protectionist and, I think, does the country no good in the long run. McCain's approach on retraining is better in principle, though not specific and leaves me thinking he has no real way to execute.

    4. In some cases, I like neither of their approaches.

    5. McCain seems to have more vaguery and more promises that can't be fulfilled.

Could we get Palin to answer these questions, I mean just for fun? (Yes, in fact, I did burn an ant using sunlight and a magnifying glass as a child.)
