http://slamonline.com/online/2008/09/big-three-rankings/ Numba 1 Celtics' as expected, then.........SA and....Lakers
it's unbelievable ppl still hang on to what t-mac said in the pistons series. that was ages ago, ppl seriously need to use another example/excuse to hate on t-mac.
i agree. tmac plays his hardest during the playoffs, what the hell are those guys talking about. if your gonna hate on tmac it shoot be his occasional bad shot selection, his lack of rebounding or something like that. but the guy plays his a** off in the playoffs.
"T-Mac treats the playoffs like every other game" Watch a damn Rocket playoff game before you talk out of your ass "journalist".
OMFG!!!!!!! IF T-MAC CAN TREAT THE PLAYOFFS LIKE ANY OTHER GAME???? !!!!!!!!, HE AVERAGES MORE IN THE PLAYOFFS THEN REGULAR SEASON, F***ING IDIOT!!!
its all good because the dude that wrote this is a complete moron. If he looked at T-Mac's stat sheet durring the season compareed to that of the playoffs he would realize that he is better in the playoffs, eventhough he hasnt made it to the second round.
I don't get why ppl are hating...afterall our trio is still unproven. Besides, T-mac hadn't even gotten out of first round, of course they will stir shts like this.
There's nothing wrong with the list. The top 3 have gone far in the playoffs, our trio hasn't ... yet.
I'm sure he's read it and ready to prove everyone wrong. There are just too many talented players around him for him to fail. MVP Tracy McGrady
I just found out that he has scoliosis...like 12 degrees or sumthin but dang! How was he able to play??? Did he reverse it?
The reasoning was a joke, as always. But the reality is probably not too far off, no matter how you slice it. Since we are throwing around opinions, I'd say: 1. Celtics: Proven last year - nuff said 2. Lakers: Proven last year - and without Bynum. They certainly can't be worse with Bynum, and probably much better with him, so you have to put them there. 3. Rockets: Only because we are talking Big 3. If we are talking overall, with a solid PF and PG, and its depth, this is #1 team on paper this year. On the Big 3, it is the cliche of chemistry, RonRon's unpredictability, and Yao and Tmac's health. On paper, skill-wise, they should be #2, and if taking age into consideration, they should be #1 ahead of the older Celtics. 4. Hornets: So young, so much potential, can only get even better than last year. 3. Spurs: So old, so on the diminishing curve. OK, that's mean. They are actually staying strong throughout, statistically anyway, surprising considering the ages (Manu at 31 and Duncan at 32). But with Manu and Duncan getting more injury-prone, and given the age, I have to give Hornets and Rockets the edge, albeit a small one.
Why is everyone saying tmac played better on paper??? He played more minutes in the playoffs then the season making even a worse percent shooting. check the stats yourselves before going all hysterical. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/tracy_mcgrady/ more minutes and 3 more rebounds and 1 assist more during the playoffs. worse 3 point shots (10 percent!) and FT (60 percent goodness) and more to's. He did score more in the playoffs but also played too many minutes. This is not a hate on tmac but more of a hope for lesser minutes with the trades we did. If he didn't play all those minutes he would probably have better percentage (although his FT just sucks overall) but to say he had better stats in the playoffs isn't exactly correct.
Is anyone else a little bit over these "Best Big 3" articles? It's all speculation and opinion until they get on the floor.
i disagree, but what else are they going to write about? it doesn't matter if tmac plays 1000% burning sweat and tears, until he wins, they're gonna poke fun at him in that sense.
To Earl K. Sneed: Have you ever watched any games with Tracy McGrady playing in them? Also, little tidbit, T-Mac averages more points, rebounds, and assist than the guy who plays for the Lakers, when it comes the playoffs. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/mcgratr01.html/ http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/bryanko01.html/
