Just got it. The only way you can get it is off his website. It says it is in stores, but I have not seen it. He's releasing MM5 in November and a new album in December. Might be too much music. Kind of Ryan Adams-ish. Discuss.
So far it's like MM2 & 3. He does a lot of talking and addressing things that bother him. A lot of skits. A lot of flows with not a lot of hook. I haven't given it a full listen to but plan to over the next couple of days.
I bought mine at Music Depot in Greenspoint Mall, It's pretty good. Nice mix of serious lyrical content and the same ol' baller rap
Still waiting for mine in the mail. Tried to go around last Wednesday looking for it, but they didn't have it at Best Buy, Soundwaves, etc. So.. I ended up ordering it off his website. Trying to resist going on imeem to listen to it until I actually get the CD. I've heard "Internet Nerd's Revenge" and it was pretty unique and good. I've liked his mixtape messiahs much better than his commercial albums. "Get Ya Mind Correct" is the best.....
Roll Call Reloaded is just sick. He imitates a lot of rappers in the game by rapping in their style and voice. Once you hear that, you will understand that Chamillionaire seriously has skills.
Can we get Chamillionaire, Z-ro, Bun B, and Scarface on a mixtape and call it 'the Houston rappers that are worth a F***'. on second thought lets just go with this. '<s>the Houston</s> rappers that are worth a F***'
I'd buy that. I honestly and sincerely think Z-Ro is the best rapper alive. He can go fast, slow, can harmonize, and has never been cheesy.
I really dislike that song. I hate it when people complain about the media and what people say. So 17 year old kids don't have the right to have an opinion on the music they listen to? So he doesn't start beef with other rappers now, so instead he's turning on his fans? REAL smart.
I didn't get it? What's to get? He's mad because kids are talking crap on the internet. Is there anything else that I'm missing? Obviously you "got it" so please tell me.
Cham was talkin about weezys success and how he came out with a lotta music via mixtapes in order to generate buzz. So, im guessing that Cham thinks he can do the same thing by dropping two mixtapes within months from each other and then the album....i dunno if that'll work tho. His hooks are sick as hell, but his singing might get played out by album time. Hope not tho, i loved his last album...shoulda went plat.
Before the sound of revenge, his first major album, he had tons of mixtapes out, Mixtape Messiah, Man on Fire, a tape with Stat Quo, and a few others all in a span of 1-2 years, it helped Sound of Revenge go plat, maybe it'll do the same for his new one. I also agree about the singing, he should let other people do hooks for him from time to time.
I dont think his last album went platinum, considering he had one video (two if you count evening news, even though it probably only seen air time once) and Universal pulled most of his funding. I haven't gotten MM4 yet, was going to get it in stores, but he's only been giving it to mom and pop stores, you won't find it anywhere big. I'll probly just order it online. I want him and Paul to get back together.
