yup he sucks which got me thinking...all announcers should be split homers between the two teams. calvin and thompson should be paired to do the boradcast so calvin could tell him to shut the hell up...and likewise for all other games...what do yall think. id even watch more games by other teams to hear to opposing homers do the broadcasting
You know, I get League Pass in Austin, but I was in Houston so I heard the Houston feed. I hear the T-wolves annoucers and I also do not like the T-wolve guys, man I would have loved to have heard their stunned reaction, especially the big homer Thompson. Hey Thompson, your team is probably going out in the opening round again. How is that impending result gonna taste?
I loved when he said that Francis is a better player than little stupid Allen Iverson, but that's about it. He said some good things about Griffin and Franchise, so he wasn't that bad.
The whole flagrant foul thing was my favorite. He never stopped talking about how bad a call it was, but never said that the Rockets' flagrant call was just as bad. At least we didn't have an idiot throw papers onto the court.

How is he horrible? He knows the game well and is very insightful. The guy who sucks is his partner, Joel Myers.
Do you just disagree with everything that is said here or what. Sean Elliott acts as if no Spur as ever committed a foul or done anything wrong in the history of basketball. He's by far one of the most annoying in the league.

I'm sorry I see things differently than most. He might be a homer, but what the hell do you expect from a non-national broadcast? If you weren't a Rockets fan, you would probably hate Murphy and Worrell. All I care about with "local" team broadcasters is if they know the game, and Elliott does. The best duo without a doubt would be Stu Lantz and Chick Hearn. They know their $hit and are very unbiased. If anything they criticize the Lakers more than any NBC/TNT commentator would.
Oh man. I think the Spurs guys have to be the worst. I can just barely stand the Minnesota guys, but the Spurs announcers make me want to drive to the Alamodome, lead pipe in hand...
Sean needs to detach himself from Tony Parker's rectum. I usually turn the sound down during any League Pass games in which those two are broadcasting.
Well objectively speaking (of course I still might be a little biased) I dont think Worrell and Murphy are all that bad. Of course they have a little homerism in them, but then who doesnt? Worrell and Murphy will be the first one to complement an opposing player on a good play or a good game. They will also criticize the Rockets when we are fooling around. I have never heard Minny and SA announcers, but I already hate em!
I watched a little of the Rockets-Jazz game on League Pass the other day and the Jazz announcers were very sad. I really didn't care about there analysis, but what annoyed me was that the play-by-play guy would just make up names. Anytime a Rockets play happened too fast for him to keep up (which was most every play) he would just make up names. It was obvious he couldn't pick out the players by looking at them or associate their jersey # with a name. He was having to look up their numbers every time, even in the fourth quarter. I'm sorry, but I would expect an NBA announcer to know the difference between Cuttino and Moochie just by looking at them. It was very frustrating. --Drof
