I dont understand why CNN is considered liberal by the right-wing. It's almost as if there are no moderates in the world, only the right-wing and everyone else is liberal.

Because to me, CNN is pretty much in the middle or slightly left of middle. Even the New York Times has a fairly moderate stance - and often posts conservative opinions. To me, when I think of a news source that is the opposite to foxnews, what is there? Fox is very conservative, that's for sure.

As much as people harp about liberal media bias, I also recall the media giving Bush an easy time for years after 9/11 - particularly about iraq. just goes to show that the media is a tool of conservatives as much as it is of liberals.

While the journalists tend to be leaning left, they certainly aren't all the way to the left - not even close. And the owners of most media companies are now major corporations like Disney and GE, certainly not "liberal" companies.

Even experimental studies show that based on who does the study, you can find different bias.

    Liberal experimentors find conservative bias
    COnservative experimentors find liberal bias
Moderates find little or no bias.

    Strange isn't it?

Highlighted for a brilliant insight, tersely stated.

The alternatives to Fox News is Stephanie Miller, and she isn't on mainstream TV except as an invited "left" guest. I guess a worse version is Alan Colmes. Isn't it Fox who started this whole lets bring two idiots (Hannity and Colmes) together from opposite worlds and try to make sense of their interactions with some guests? (actually that might have been CNN cross-fire with the original ideals--but at least the didn't have the same degree of lightweights)

Also, the two most politically slanted of CNN hosts are Glen Beck and Lou Dobbs, how can anyone consider it Liberal? Centrist-moderate overall, with a extra dose of conservative/populist pundits.

Yeah, right. How long did the media stay on Obama's pastor being an egomaniacal idiot. The media was in an uproar for how long because of the words of an associate in which he strongly rejected those words and in which he ultimately broke all ties with.

The media wasn’t focused 24/7 to Obama’s words, or even the actions of associates, but the words of former friend and pastor. Preachers’ words McCain and Palin have hung out with or tried to cultivate political support from havn’t gotten near the play.

Do you own a brown shirt, boots, and like to march by chance?

Back to the topic, that video got funnier and funnier the more that Tucker guy started squirming, bobbing and weaving, and hemming and hawing. Hilarious.

msnbc would be the closest to liberal anyway

the reason people call cnn liberal is only because it is mainstream media. the whole mainstream media is liberal don't you understand. they promote ideas like civil rights, and peace, so they are a bunch of tree hugging hippies

Certainly the spokesperson didn't do a great job but giving evasive and obfuscating answers is part of the job description of spokesperson. Campbell Brown IMO came off as exasperated and annoyed, which is understandable for most of us but if you watch some of the best interviewers, Koppel and Russert, who kept their cool and often even when the person being interviewed was resistant could still tease out some insights.
