Tonight was the first time i ever rooted against the Rockets

    I have been a Rockets fan since 86 and I have never went against the Rockets but tonight I wanted the Pacers to win. Now before everyone thinks I am a traitor let me explain why I went for the Pacers tonight. I have been a Pacers fan since 92 and they have always been my favorite team in the east second favorite to the Rockets and since the Rockets are out of the playoffs and the Pacers are leading the east I wanted the Pacers to win. If the Rockets were in the playoff race in any mathematical way I would have went for Houston but since the season is over the Rockets were the sacrificial lamb tonight. Now that this game is over I will root for the Rockets in every game this season. The Rockets and Pacers have a lot in common both teams get no respect from the refs and they have been cheated in playoff series on a regular basis by the corrupt NBA. The Rockets were robbed vs. the Sonics in 93 and the Pacers were robbed vs the Knicks in the 94 playoffs. The Rockets were robbed vs the Sonics in 96 and the Pacers were robbed vs the Bulls in 98. The Rockets were robbed vs the Jazz in 97 and 98 and the Pacers were robbed vs the Knicks in 99. These 2 teams have been screwed more times than Vanessa Del Rio.

    So...In essence your favorite teams never actually lost a playoff series, they were cheated in every one of the lost series

    Can you put "Jenna II", "Jenna Jr.", or "Jenna 2" under mantronix instead of "member"?

    This is funny.

    EJ continues his conspiracy theories. He wrote me a nice email stating that I "suck" since I don't buy into all this stuff. And since I dissed his player Reggie Miller, he didn't like it, huh ManEJ?

    I would love to see how he answers Will's question. Also, if you root for the Pacers, and they don't win it all this year, does that mean the conspiracy lives? Or if Miller does "get a call", does that mean the conspiracy dies? For only the Pacers or for all "the small market teams" in the league?

    So let me get this straight -- criticizing Hakeem's play means you're not a true fan, but it's okay to root against the Rockets?

    That does not make sense did I root for bad calls, Then again I didnt think it was meant to make sense. But it always sounds nice to twist things around for brain confusion. Whenever I write about bad calls from any team and I have seen teams I dont like get cheated(the magic were robbed vs. the raptors last night)So you can throw all that trash out the window that the teams I root for only get robbed. I go by the rulebook that was written by the NBA, do you?. I dont base my posts on popularity and rating like the NBA does. I know you want to be intellgent by saying not every small market team has been robbed of every game and every series but when you think about that is very braindead statement.
    The bottom line is if a certain team or player gets special consideration because of the money factor it is cheating, Maybe you dont understand the defintion of cheating but preferential treatment no matter how many calls it amounts to is cheating. Jordan is the perfect example of double standards.

    TheFreak, The Rockets season is over! Do you understand the Rockets season is over. There is no meaning in this season that is why I went against the Rocks last night. If there was any way shape or form the Rocks were in the playoff race I would have went for them. The season has to have some type of meaning they dont just play for highlights on espn the next day. Once again do you realize the Rockets will not be playing in a meaningful game till next season. I am not happy about this at all. In fact it flat out sucks. Come playoff time it is not gonna be as exciting as should be. I am just sick of people critcizing Hakeem because it is very ignorant to talk trash when the guy just came off surgery and he is gasping for oxygen. Hakeem is trying his best but right now his best is not what you ingrates want to see.

    The Pacers had a chance to do well in the playoffs. The Rockets didn't. So you rooted for the Pacers. Fine. There were many opportunities during the game for the refs to make bad calls that would help the Pacers beat the Rockets.

    I repeat: Did you root for the refs to make those calls?

    Whenever a bad call is called in the Rockets favor, I laugh my ass off. If it's the other way around, I'm ready to fight. Last night mantronix was laughing at the Rockets. String up that Hoosier!!

    Matronix is a nut but actually a lot of die-hard rocket fans will quietly be hoping we lose as many games as possible and why not! The playoffs are out of the question and it is so evident we need another superstar caliber player in order to become a serious threat in the playoffs. Do I want us to lose as many games as possible in order to get a high draft pick......OF COURSE I DO!!!!! You just have to know thats what the ppl in the front office of the rockets organization are thinking. To hope for otherwise would be an invitation to mediocrity. SO FOR ALL ITS WORTH, HERES HOPING WE TANK IT ALL BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

    Will, That is a nice little mind game you are playing with me, You are always the consumate thinker. The reality is that all these years I never have wished the Rockets won their games by faulty officiating, I just want to win fair and square. I might complain about bad calls but by no means do I want any of the teams I follow to win by unfair calls. I take that attitude with me on the court as well, I play the game fairly and if I am not good enough to win than so be it I dont try to cheat to win. So my answer is I didnt root for the refs make any unfair calls.
