Does that mean Jermaine O'Neal will play like he actually cares? I know how fun the prospect of making $20M just to go through the motions sounds, but if your prediction has any legs I would hope for your sake he has a resurgence.
The guy has gone through quite a lot the last couple of seasons, the brawl, the outlaw pacer incidents, playing on a piss poor team, and having health issues (playing on one leg for about a season and a half). The guy is one of the nicer athletes out there; sadly he gets a bad rap. Also his contract year is coming up after this season, so he’s gonna want to get back to being one of the elite big men. From pictures I’ve seen he’s lost a lot of weight, he looks like he’s in great shape. IF healthy....The twin towers are back!!!!!
I predict Luis Scola takes home the Most Improved award. I predict the Raptors will make it atleast to the second round of the playoffs. I predict Jermaine O'Neal & Chris Bosh form a ridiculously good front court. I predict Gasol and Bynum don't plan out the way people envision they will (ie the Lakers wont be as good with Bynum as they were without) I predict Artest & T-Mac to have a blow up with each other as the Rockets go on a mini slump just after the All Star break. Houston play poorly for a couple of games. Than they're best friends and the Rockets destroy the last half of their schedule to move up the ladder into second spot in the West. I predict NO take the Western #1 seed I predict CP3 will take home the MVP award. I predict the Spurs will take the 4th seed - and get bundled in the first round.
I predict "hit & miss" in Dallas: Josh Howard will keep hittin the pipe while the Mavs will miss the playoffs.

I agree 100%. He is a Bill Walton/Ralph Sampson waiting to happen. So much talent just injuries kill him. (I was gonna say Sam Bowie, but I don't remember him having as much upside as Oden).
The Jazz will finally come to the realization that they should give back their team name to the city that invented it. Oklahoma City will change their name to Tropic so they can be the Tropic Thunder and will thus be sued by Hollywood resulting in the name being changed back to Oklahoma City Thunder, but the NBA will reject that name seeing that a team was recently named that exact name and they will have to change the name again. Thundercats! This will not be Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo's last year in the NBA. JVG will coach the Eastern Conference champs in the NBA finals. Les Alexander will be caught with hookers, mairjuwana, a naked White House official and a live cheetah. The headlines resulting will not mention any of these because they will read, 'Vegetarian Les Alexander Caught Eating Steak'. Shaq will be fined over 5 million dollars in penalties for telling every opponent to tell him how his ___ tastes as his team has yet another sub .500 year. President Barrack Obama will announce that he is a Rockets fan and hug Yao Ming in public. His hand will slip and touch Yao inappropriately. The face Yao makes will be the most beautiful face any Chinese citizen has ever made or seen. The same teams will make the playoffs except replace Denver(8th)/Goldenstate(9th) with the Clippers and Portland. Steve Francis will dunk on Shaq again.
The Washington Wizards will be a top 4 seed in the East, maybe #1. Why? Gilbert Arenas. Like happened with Dwyane Wade, people have forgotten how good & clutch he is. Caron Butler. A tough as nails efficient baller who is great playing off a star like Gilbert. Antawn Jamison. Solid lockerroom leader who is also very talented. Won't see 20/10 again. An improved Nick Young An improved Andre Blatche Solid role players like Antonio Daniels, DeShawn Stevenson, Brendan Haywood, Etan Thomas (maybe) fill in the cracks between the bricks. Two years ago, they had the best record in the East in January until injuries killed them. This team is getting no respect from anybody and I think they are poised to take the league by storm and burst out of the gate.
