What about Kurt Thomas. He has showed great ability and has improved his offense a lot. He might be a nice free agent option.

I really like Kurt Thomas. Is he a free agent? I'd love to have him...maybe his Texas ties (TCU) will attract him to us.

I wouldn't mind having him, but he's nothing more than a back up. I would've rather had a healthy Massenburg. (Now I can't wait for TMass to be an ex-Rocket)

Kurt Thomas will never be anything special - that is the reason he would come cheap. He would just be yet another in the line of average 4's that the Rockets have tried to bring in over the years. We have better luck with Thomas and Rogers...

No more ugly players. We have too many ugly players already.

I don't know about you guys, but I would like to see Othella Harrington back in a Rockets uniform. What would it take to get him back?

Othella hates vancouver. He already stated that and the team knows. But we want a superstar power forward.

    I dont like Kurt Thomas.

He is an average PF on a team that could really use an inside post presence.

the Rocks are a team that need post players.

He would just be average for them too.

    BLAH!

A BIG FAT NO ON KURT THOMAS!!!

He screwed Dallas and Don Nelson. If any of you want to hear that story, let me know. I will be happy to shed some light on what kind of person Thomas is.....

    Thanks. Here is the story:

Thomas signed with the Mavs, and got hurt (broke his weak-ass ankle), thus he was out for the season. The next season, the 2nd of a two year deal, he did it again to his other (weak ass) ankle about a quarter through. Dallas expressed EXTREME desire to keep him, so rather than trade his injury prone ass or let him go to free agency, they kept Thomas on as an asst. coach!

Thomas said all along he respected Nelson's loyalty, and would re-sign when he returned to health.

Then, when he got healthy, unknown to Nellie, he negotiated a contract with NY and left. Nellie was interviewed and said he had NO IDEA and was totally shocked. After what he had done for Thomas, he bolted on him without even a discussion, much less a goodbye!

    "F" Thomas!

I agree with FrancisRox. I would love to see O back here in Houston. He is one of the minority that has desire for the game and wants to get better and is willing to put in the work to make it happen. I wish that he had gotten more minutes when he was here. I think his points per minute were pretty high. I think in 2 or 3 years he will be one of the premier PFs around.

I have to agree with Will on this one. Unless we trade away Kenny Thomas, I won't be able to stand any more ugly players. Though I have to worry about him between this post and the one about Moochie.

Duke, should we rename you the "Duchess of Truth"?
(Not that there's anything wrong with that)

For those of you who want Kurt Thomas, we already have a team loaded with backup players. Heck, we have one starting that shouldn't even be a 2nd stringer on a good team in (The Wiz). We need a starter for our frontline. Our frontline is full of backup players. Sometimes I wonder if other teams think about starting their bench against our frontline to rest up their starters for the next game.

Why does everyone keep dissing the Gizzard. He has shown some GAME the last few days , and except for "the slump" he's been pretty consistent. Hey, at least you can tell that he's trying.

surely we need to be looking to get someone slightly better than Thomas, no disrespect to him, but I think we have the potential to get someone a lot better.

No to Kurt Thomas. He is just some average guy, and thats what we don't need. As for Othella Harrington, I heard in an article that Vancouver plans to keep him despite his protests.
