T-Mac...he is our best player, and ultimately has his hands on the most aspects of our team. He is ultimately our go-to scorer, the guy who does virtually all the ballhandling and playmaking as the game goes on, and is looked at for 5-6RPG and to take over in the clutch. Yao will probably put up the nicest stats, but T-Mac will still be our best player.
Luther Head. Great vision of the hoop. Does not take that many attempts at the basket when he knows he's cold (whick is likeee.. never). Greta player during the playoffs has the tedency to go nearly perfect. Prediction. 45.6 ppg for the season. BTW does anyone know when the flight out of sarcasm land is?
The first couple times I read this thread title, I thought it said: "What will the Rockets do the best this year?" I think that would have been a more interesting topic.
We need to get u a job as a basketball analyst. Your insight and perception is impeccable. PS i think the flight has been delayed a bit
I voted McGrady. Working on the assumption that the attention Artest and Yao draw will free Mac up to do his thing more than ever in his career, in limited minutes. Fark - I am sooo pumped for the season to start.....
Here are some dreams: Yao wins MVP of the year. Tmac wins finals MVP. Ron wins Defensive Player of the Year. Steve wins most improved player of the Year. Adelman wins coach of the year. Barry wins the All-Star 3 pt shooting contest. ROCKETS WIN THE NBA CHAMPIONSHIP!
Tmac is clearly our best player. having artest now to help him on the defensive end so tottaly free him be what he is the best at doing and thats score the ball when tracy has the mentality of a scorer, he's unstoppable. the game 5 and 6 were prime exampels. i think adelman realiased after game four that tracy was trying to do to much. it was evident in game 5 and 6 that mcgrady was only looking to score.
T-Mac. With another dangerous wing player T-Mac will have more freedom to do his thing. The opposing team knows if they double team T-Mac on the perimeter Ron-Ron will find a way to make them pay or T-Mac will just dump it to Yao. Man, I'm excited for the season to start. I'm just praying they stay healthy throughout the whole year.
I say McGrady, but looking at how motivated Artest is, I don't see why he won't become a dominant force and our go-to-guy for quite a number of games. The fact McGrady will be playing 1v1 a lot more often in the season (pretty much for the first time of his career) is already enough to show the impact that he will have. Remember that McGrady IS the best kick out passing wing, so Artest and Yao will thrive on his style of player. I think the fact that McGrady can be without double team more often is enough to motivate him to the next level, not to mention he will also have more energy reserve. As for Artest, somehow during Yao/McGrady off nights, I see him stepping up big time. When needed and motivated, Artest can sometimes be more of a force than McGrady (The game where we lost to kings on road and the game where novak hit his game winner). So I won't be suprised if he becomes the player of the week a few times during the season. As for Yao, the only reason I'm not putting him up there yet is due to his condition. I'm still worried about his health, but with the addition of Artest, the floor can be spread out more, giving Yao more space to do his signature jumpshots (which requires a lot of space in the paint).
