http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/preview08/columns/story?id=3549147 Consecutive sellouts: 60 | Season-ticket waiting list: 3,500 In 2006, when local hero Vince Young returned as a member of the division rival Titans, fans couldn't have greeted him more warmly. When he won the game with a TD run in overtime, most of Reliant Stadium cheered him. Texans fans are desperate for a winner and appreciate first-class ownership. They score well in loyalty (though as Young proved, a good share of it is to the University of Texas.) Though they can be whiny on a Monday morning, they've had a reasonable amount to whine about. -- Paul Kuharsky
Propaganda! There goes Espn twisting the facts and presenting them as the truth yet again. Why must they flashback to 2006? Yes, there were many VY fans in reliant that day, but it had to do more with people protesting what was believed to be the wrong pick at the time. That, and a couple traitors selling their tickets to titans/oilers fans. In 2007 our city's head statesman declared battle red day. how many teams can say that an entire day was dedicated to them ? And we get a 3 for tail gating? It's obvious that kuharsky has never enjoyed our fajitas before the game. Maybe we can all start wearing some darth vader masks and spikes and start stabbing each other in the parking lot so we can climb the charts. I need to back off from the caffeine
This reporter used to be the beat guy for the Titans. He now is the AFC South reporter for ESPN. He is a total Titans homer who really thinks the Jags and Titans are on the same level. If you look at his AFC South blog, its mostly all Titan talk, as exemplifed in the blurb about the fans of Houston.
What in the holy hell does VY or the Titans have to do with how the TEXANS rank in fandom? And no, don't even bother to answer that, because the answer is NOTHING.
Exactly what I was thinking. As soon as I saw that this came out of me. BTW....how is Jax not dead last?
One....and they want him gone too but keep the team. Funny, that was my thoughts too whe the Oilers left.
The fact that we have good attendance with such a poor start and little hope we should be up there. I like how he says the fans cheering for Vince was due to UT. I guess this moron doesn't realize Vince is a Houston Son. And yeah the jax fans stink. I had to live there for two years.
Isn't it time for you to be making some snide drive-by comment in D&D? Since this thread has nothing to do with ACDC I'm not sure what you're supposed to get out of it.
