Wow this is the one year anniversary of the day I registered on the BBS and this is also my 500th post pretty cool. I started this topic during last season and it got a lot of response and even Lance Zerlain liked it so in these times of trouble I'd thought I would ask once again, what is everyone's strangest rockets rituals etc that you think helps them win?? any that could actually turn this season around?

Cabbage, in case you didn't read my other post that hakeem story wasn't made up it was just the personal experience I've had with him. I have the upmost respect for you from all your great posts and just wanted to let you know it is a true story.

OK so on with the rituals

Rituals and/or just anything you do during the game because most people aren't really superstitious enough to think they can change game outcome. So any rituals or just plain out things you always do during games

I remember that post from last year, I just wasn't a member yet so I did not reply. I remember a bunch of superstitious responses. Not me though, I'm just gonna watch tonights game with my Reggie Miller voodoo doll by my side.

Actually, now that you mention it ...

Right before each Rockets game, I read old posts by Francis3 about Kenyon Martin, break out my very own Hakeem voo-doo doll and start to - whoops!

    OH!

You meant winning. No, not really. Rituals are silly and they have no effect on the outcome of the game.

If I lay on the couch when I watch the game, they start losing, so I usually sit up and watch.

That's kind of jacked up huh?

ya it got some responses last year i didn't think it was that great a post but it got lots of responses and lance z mentioend it on air i wish i had a copy of that thread. anyways i know it is all silly but during those championship runs it seemed like sitting in a certain postion on the couch or holding the remote a certain way helped the team. hey thats it the two things that were good luck the couch i watched games from and bed have both been replaced. i must get them back to bring the luck back. anyways looking forward to reading more rituals

raww..i know its almost like when you lay on couch they get mad cause you don't care anymore and start losing??

When my wife pays attention, the Rockets play well. Unfortunately, it is extremely hard to get my wife to pay attention!

I know you just didn't say you "stay sitted up". Lord. [IMG]

Anywho. I remember back a few years ago during our "glory" years, if the Rockets started losing, I'd turn the game off. No kidding; I just couldn't take it. If it was a close game with a last-second shot coming up, I'd leave the room or just turn the tv off and come back later and watch the replay. Now that we're a sucky-but-up-and-coming team, it really doesn't matter to me whether they win (actually, this season, I'm hoping they lose more for obvious reasons) as long as Francis does well.
