If he's available with 4th-6th pick, get him Rockets, please!!!!!!I have seen him play and I loved it!It sucks that I'm not able to watch him play again, because i live in germany!!!I think he's the right man fpr us,what's your opinion????
Even if we get the 4-6 pick, I personally don't think he will be there. I think he's going top 3. If the draft were held today, he might be top 2. TONS of potential. I would LOVE to take him, I just dont think Houston will be picking there.
If Houston gets a top 2 pick, there is NO WAY they will waste it on a Sf. Not that Qyntell sucks or anything, but WE JUST DON'T NEED A SF. If we have a top 2 pick we will definitely take Yao Ming. Right now, Kenny has been playing great SF and PF and behind them we got Walt,Glenn,Eddie, and Mo. We would be great if we got a center and started him along with Eddie, Kenny, Cuttino, and Stevie. WE SIMPLY DON'T NEED A SF!!!!!!!!!
Our biggest weakness is at center but neither Eddie or Kenny can matchup well at the SF spot,Walt is streaky with his shooting ,but can't dribble or finish around the basket, and also is a poor defender,Morris provides us no scoring, Glen is badly injured and aging.Mo Taylor is not a SF. If we get the 2nd pick we should pick up Ming, but if we end up with the 5 or 6th pick,he probably won't be there. If Woods is still avaliable and if the hype around him turns out to be correct,I would rather pick him instead of Chris Marcus at center who has good skills but is slow.
Q Woods also appears to be smaller than reported by nbadraft.net: http://www.sportsonly.com/nb/5565/bin/307.html
Oh gawd. You guys don't understand. Woods gives new meaning to the phrase "taking the best player available." If Rockets win the lottery or pick 1-3, we NEED TO NAB QUINTEL WOODS. This man can do everything on the basketball court. I know, we need a center badly, but it would clearly be a mistake to pass over a player of Wood's caliber.
6' 7'', eh? Well, if he's as good as they say, I'd definitely still take him. You know what's scary? I think 6' 7'' at SF is going to be undersized pretty soon, if it isn't already. Eddiewas, while I won't contest you on the need for a center, I hardly think we're solid at SF. At this point, our best player at SF is probably Oscar Torres, and he's more of a 2. I wouldn't be sad at all if we pick up a good starting SF this offseason as Jeff has said the Rockets have at the top of their agenda.
Anybody know exactly what kind of knee injury he had in high school football? Otherwise he looks pretty damn good.
