Either way Chuck is a great guy who plays with a lot of heart. Can't wait to see him be more consistent.

I think Wade is a terrible long range shooter. Clyde was better, particularly in his Houston years. Really, the rebounding, athleticism, and height difference is enough of a case for Clyde, for me atleast.

Clydes so much prettier to watch than Wade.. His finger roll was the sweetest. DW is so predictable.. iso.. take it to the hole.. wait for the whistle.. throw up a crazy shot. shoot f/t's. rinse repeat.

What makes Drexler even more special as a player was his exponential improvement from college to the NBA. He became a reliable outside shooter in the association, which is quite an accomplishment, as he was viewed as less than multi-dimensional coming out of UofH. He worked his way into a championship caliber player. I had Maverick season tickets when I lived in Dallas in the mid to late 80's, and I couldn't get over how much better he got year after year....Dream, too, for that matter.

That both he and Hakeem managed to "grow" their games in the NBA is a tribute to both players. Years from now their losing a title together in college but earning one together in the pros will still be an important and unique storyline.

By the way, the Lakers suck. Good night.

I'll continue with the derailment since that is where it was going....

Drexler was great, but this again shows how underrated Wade is. I imagine people here think Tmac is better than him (Wade) too. Drexler IMO is a notch below the best swingmen today of Lebron, Kobe and Wade (just as Drexler as possibly the 2nd best swingman of his era was 2 notches below Jordan), though I'd certainly put him up against the next tier of this generation (Tmac, AI?). And when healthy Wade very much has the case of being the best basketball player of the top 3, though you can make a credible case for any of the 3. After all Wade is the only swingman in the league to lead his team to an NBA championship since Jordan and sure looked like the most efficient of the 3 (and top scorer on less minutes) in the international game-- just as he looked his last fully healthy year. But I guess naysayers will try to say it is all about the FIBA refs too, it is a grand world conspiracy to ensure that more of Wade's shots fall in the hoop than his peers and that more his defenders look helpless trying to contain him.

BTW Jordan wasn't a great 3 point shooter either. People underrate shot selection (Wade is the best of the explosive swingmen), team leadership and floor sense (where Kobe lacks from either Wade or Lebron), and the half court efficiency. Those things get lost when you focus on who has the purest 3 point shot form and who looks more graceful and smooth in determining how good a player is.

Ok, now you are way overrating Wade. He wouldn't have had the championship without help from the refs (and Shaq). I hate the Mavs just as much as everyone else here and enjoyed watching them get screwed, but yeah, they got screwed. Wade is a rich man's Steve Francis - which is really good, maybe awesome - but not better than LeBron or Kobe - and definitely not better than Clyde. By the way, if you take away the Jordan rules, Jordan is only about 1/2 a notch to one notch better than Clyde.
