I don't really like Joe Biden. He is old and he voted for patriot act and the war on IRAQ.

i dont really care how he voted for those two acts. he believed the information he had at the time necessitated that he vote the way he did...

i dont really know much about him but he seems kinda bland...

the obama camp built up expectations to pick biden. eh...

i still think obama has a lot of things going for him. he just needs to keep the momentum.

if mccain picks someone like jindal as his vp, then i think it would give him a lot of traction. however, he'll probably pick romney to please the republican base and in so doing lose his support from independents.

I need some kind of 3rd option on that poll.

Wow. Those are some real in depth reasons for your opinion. Couldn't be the he was misled like the rest of us on Iraq? Old? He's 7 years younger than McCain.

The fact is he is exactly what Obama needs opposite him. It was a great pick. Makes it better because Obama didn't pick based on winning a particular state. He picked based on gravitas, experience, knowledge, and who is honestly ready to lead should the worst case scenario happen.

It was not a "splash" move to me. I wanted someone that our people could relate to, i wanted bill richardson. But Just like Mccainy wants to steal our fellow hillary supporters away, we will do the same by stealing war aficionados and hard core patriotic civilians.

Destroy the right wing, save the world!

Exactly my point. This current president and congress have failed us. I prefer if they were far removed from the current government. We need to change the status quo and biden is not that.

Ready to Lead? Lead us to what? A crappy economy, a never ending cycle of wars, huge debt?

while i am not "happy" with Biden, I am no "unhappy" either.

I voted no, but really there should be a neutral option.

    That's why I like him.

He'd run "with or against" McCain as well...

I'm more a fan of politics than an actual participant; and I probably would have preferred to see Obama/Clinton just for publicity's sake. For similar reasons I'd probably like to see Romney or the Huckster (I think he interviews well).

I see why he picked Biden but I would have preferred someone else, not sure exactly who. A younger, fresher Biden without some of the votes he's cast

Biden is an elitist, globalist, power broker politician. He is the system as much as Bush, Clinton, Cheney and Kennedy.

Even though I don't agree with Obama's policy positions at least he was portraying himself as the non-politician in the election, until now.

Why he would choose such an obvious staunch part of the corrupt establishment is interesting.

It probably assures his victory in November, but I think it is too much of a sell out.

I figured it would be Biden back when Obama used the worn out Biden quote-" that's above my paygrade"

Biden uses that so much, that when Obama threw it out it was obvious where he was aligned in the party.

Much like Cheney to Bush, will Biden be to Obama.

He called Barack unqualified to be president. Unless McCain chooses Romney, those words will haunt the Barack/Biden ticket.
