Ok so how did this rally compare to the welcome that Yao and Tmac received? I don't remember that much but this seems like a much bigger deal or turnout. I remember Yao showing up was huge just cuz he is a huge chinese dude, but curious if anyone has seen them all how this compares?

I may be wrong, but wasn't the Tmac one held inside the TC? This one was in the lobby right?

    That says bigger to me.

And Yao was a draft pick... so wasn't he just given a press conference?

This should be the Rockets new slogan for this year.

    "It's time....for no more layups".

This was waaaaay smaller than Tmac's. Tmac had half of TC filled. I don't think Yao had an official rally tho. The Artest rally pulled about 500 fans, but I believe that was due to very very poor planning. Everybody was in school, taking their kids to school or at work.

Did anyone mention where Les Alexander was yesterday? His absence seems curious to me, given that he's been at every player-intro news conference that I remember-- and was part of the conference call on August 14.

Any clue what his moniker on Clutchfans is yet? I can't believe he's actually signing on. I have an idea to lure him out of hiding. We start a celine dion thread wherein we debate the top 5 best celine songs of all time. That'll force him to show his hand.

after he got his tooth knocked out playing some New York summer league basketball. Yea he is intense! He will fit right in with Yao and other dedicated Rockets players.

Go take the negativity somewhere else. This is a new season and if you can't be excited about having the three stars that we have then maybe you should go root for another team. We have enough with outsiders taking shots at our players, we don't need our own doing the same thing.

Thanks for sharing the pic jmr123jmr!

You're absolutely right. Ron Artest Should be In The Middle. And those two other guys sure do look like pansies. Now, MountainTop, it's time to get back to the classroom discussion."

    Sincerely,

    MountainTop's current 3rd grade teacher.
