sometimes i worry about yao's mentality. hes the kind of guy that will keep going no matter what and with his health issues you gotta just hope that hes getting better not worse. Don't get me wrong, i love yao and that mentality is the best thing in the world for a healthy player. i just dont want yao to try to do too much to comeback for the rox. idk, sounds dumb now that his summers over. great post though, good to hear from the big guy.

He's talking mostly about the Olympics.

At the end he's mentioning Rockets.

    yes.

He's been speaking decent english for at least a couple years now. His accent is still thick so you don't hear many sound bites from him on TV outside of Houston.

One day your cameraman will learn how to record audio on both channels.

Yao is good humble person. It will be good to see when the players get back together and practice and start to build relationships, it will be good to see. This Rockets team is filled with alot of players in their late 20's that are mature men, that will want to win a champoinship. It will be good to follow this team through out this season ive never liked a professional sports team like i like this one. :)

Actually the main audio (Yao's mic) is usually recorded on just one channel. The 2nd channel of audio is for what we call the "nat (natural) sound". That's the mic used for recording the ambient sound at basketball games or whatever.

The reason you are hearing onlly one channel of audio is because that's the way it was laid down in editing. The main audio CAN be mixed to both channels in editing. Sometimes that is done for the internet links, but I'll see if we can make a habit of doing it all the time
