FAIL -- SAR is an Olympic Champion -- coached by the one and only Rudy T.

It's funny that these guys bash Steve, but you could take out Steve's name and add Tracy's and it still fits perfectly, but Tracy gets a pass when he has failed over and over, and admittitly was "tired" in the 4th qrt of game 7. Steve always went out with his guns blazing even with a lesser team.

I personally am trying to stay away from the Tracy bashin this year considering he should have no more reasons to be tired, as he has plenty of help. Some are just hoping Steve is part of the help, and I wish Tracy the best.

Steve we're still rootin for you! Don't worry about all the knucklehead, just let them drive you.

    Sensible enough.

Call me a skeptic. I hope I'll be pleasantly surprised though.

If Steve comes back as Stevie, teams better watch out. That's FIVE potential All-Stars on the team.

don't you know its wrong to like steve because according to some people, while he had three above five hundred seasons while playing with no other all stars at the time, his tenure his was terrible.

i mean, playing with mo taylor, kato, shandon anderson, and cuttino, they should have been winning fifty games a season. don't you see that?

When we traded SF and CM for Tracey, if anyone had said that in five years our team will not only have Yao, T-mac, and SF, but it will also have Shane Battier, Ron Artest, Rafer Alston, and a guy named Luis Scola who would be a very solid power forward - people would be estatic.

    You people should be estactic!!!!

We basically have traded Mobley for T-mc and Rafer, and Kelvin Cato for Ron Artest, Louis Scola, and Shane Battier.

I say be happy with this season - best Rockets team since 1997.

    1. never said he was
    2. The statement deals with two things
    --A. The quality of teammates
--B. The perception of fans when a teammate didn't hit the shot . . . one person gets the blame. . the other it was the shooter's fault

I'm fine with people liking Steve. I liked Steve too.

Steve had real deficiencies in his game that were frustrating...because they were mental mistakes. No one doubted for one second his physical abilities. It was always being able to say the right thing...but never having it translate on the court that drove me crazy with Steve.

It's not the extreme of "you can't like steve" i see represented here. It's the other extreme in suggestions that he's the 2nd greatest Rocket of all time that are nothing short of mind-numbing to me.

I see little of Steve Francis' recent history to suggest he will have any meaningful impact on the Rockets this season...I think it would be great to be wrong about that, however.

Why is this thead so long? Francis' success hinges on his athleticism if he has some of it back then he can contribute, if not then he probably won't.

Other than the arguments between the lovers and the haters, and those of us caught in between, has there been any real news?

Has Steve been cleared to play Basketball again?

I think Steve is in beijing now, he and Scola are both working for Anta, they will stay there for a week or two.
I hope he can spend more time in the gym.

OMG man. The fact is that if you replace Hakeem with Steve on those championship teams, they're not championship teams any longer. Iso'ing an All-Time great is different from iso'ing Steve Francis.

Even if you discount the fact that Hakeem was far and away a better player than Steve ever was, he was also more focused and humble and provided the kind of leadership that Steve was too self-involved to understand. Not in a billion years would you ever hear Hakeem say, this is the house that I built or some stupid crap like that. Steve was a talented player but in addition to being a low iq player he had a total loser attitude.

Steve had a loser attitude? I completely disagree....... I have seen very few take as much pride in being a Rocket as Steve did..........

    1. If you wannt say that was wrong . . GO TELL IT TO RUDY [of TWO CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS FAME]
he made the decision to ISO Steve .. not STEVE making that decision

maybe Hakeem would just say . . ITS ON ME . . .right?
