PITIFUL. That's the only word I can use to describe our offense. Against the Bucks we broke down in the 2nd half. And the Bucks are just about one of the worst defensive teams in the league. What the hell happened?

A lot of times I see Francis go the other way when a pick is set for him. This doesn't accomplish anything at all. He just ends up wasting more time on the clock.

Then, sometimes when Francis does go for the pick, either he shoots the jump shot behind the screen(which seems to be our best offense) or the other team switches correctly and we are left at square 1.

Then supposedly our most consistent offense, the iso with Mobley, depends on Mobley making a perfect pass in traffic and whether or not Cato can actually catch the pass.

Where is the ball movement? IN the first half, we were passing real well, but in the 2nd we stopped. How hard is it to make an extra pass? A lot of times, Francis would refuse to make the extra pass in the corner and just start dribbling.

I know this team is going to be good(maybe really good) but you might as well get them used to a good offence. HOPEFULLY, like the one we will have next year that consists of ball movement and cutting.

You ever get the feeling that we dropped the DIT (dump it to Dream or Barkley) to the DATSSS offense (Dribble around then shoot stupid shots).

Even if the ISOs for Mobley and Francis are effective I am surprised that we don't really have much of an offense other than the ISOs.

Just like the old offense there is no ball movement unless there is a double team, then there are 2 passes then shoot the 3.

I like Mobley & Francis I only wish we could run an offense where the others could stay more involved.

Of course, I didn't get to see this game, but according to coverage in the Chronicle, Rudy was very upset that the Rockets stopped moving the ball in the 2nd half. You know, Rudy's style is to not single guys out for blame, but to try to achieve things by coaching in a positive manner. His comments in the Chronicle did not mention anyone specifically. For those of you who saw the game, who was most at fault for not moving the ball in the second half? To point out the obvious, its not the offense, its the execution.

I thought that the game was played close to the same for both halves, but they just didn't fall in the second half. They should of just attacked the basket instead of relying on the long ball.

You guys know Rudy was glad after the loss. I think I saw him give a high five to the assistant coaches after the loss. [IMG]

I think it was Francis that stopped moving the ball around. I just don't know why we stopped the ball movement and slashing.

It was a combination of Francis and Ca-turnover, I mean Cantino, that stopped the ball movement. But, it wasn't all their fault because no one else was moving. Everyone was standing around. It has been my experience that it is pretty easy to guard someone standing still.

Actually I think part of the problem was George Carl. He knows how to be Houston. I think he could coach the Comets and come away with a win over the Rockets.

Until the Rocks get a REAL low post presence, I believe our offense will continue to be awkward, and at times, ineffective.
