"If you're not a liberal when you're 18, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative when you're 40, you have no brain." Winston Churchill

Funny, but he never said it.

"Thanks. Somebody said it though, & it's still better than the FDR quote."

    That's nice

Alec Baldwin and Charlton Heston should have as much influence on politics as Charles Barkley does. That is to say, NONE.

Same with the idiot who came up with "If you're not a liberal when you're 18, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative when you're 40, you have no brain."

    How about this one-

"Liberals have bigger penises than conservatives"-Blake Gifford

dc -- I don't deny him the right to his opinion....but I don't deny myself the right to disagree with him...to me, comparing the election of 2000 and the destruction of 9/11 just shows how ridiculous this guy really is...that's why i simply posted it and rolled my eyes with icons!

glynch -- no surprise you agree with him. i don't think anyone of us thought you wouldn't (how's that for a double-negative??)

also...you don't have to be anti-peace to support a military campaign. I don't believe the Allies in WWII were anti-peace, for the most part...it's quite clear that their campaigns were quite necessary to secure peace. In a turbulent world of imperfect men, sometimes that's necessary, as distasteful as it might be. if you believe that makes me anti-peace, then the argument stops right there. We were attacked...we have responded....we will continue to pursue these jackasses and neutralize other potential threats. Your friend, Clinton benefitted from an economy he did nothing to create (by the way, isn't that soooo obvious to all of us now??? is there anything more amazing than the resiliency (spelling?) of the US economy?)....Bush is certainly benefitting from a war....but there have been countless good presidents who have done the same (like every liberal's hero, FDR).

"Can I bite into your Schwetty Weiner?"

    "OH, I'd rather you didn't."

No. I was just suggesting that actors should have no influence on politics, well, except Ronald Reagan. :)
