He is invaluable because he can score when plays are run for him, or on hustle points.

The guy just flat out competes....and unfortunately that is a rarity these days.

He is like Ryan Bowen with an actual game.

leebigez, where art thou? :D Nice post CXbby. I imagine Kobe's looking at the Rockets a little differently than most prognasticators.

If you were watching the feed online, at the end of the game it showed Kobe talking to Luis. I think Kobe has some respect for the guy now. Rockets are definitely going to be a force to be reckoned with this season.

Scola is simply an international monster. Let's hope he can carry that into NBA action.

He scored over Bosh, Melo, Howard easily..and draw many fouls......
I think he can handle most of the PF in NBA...

should be fine, except those super-altheletic..like stoudamire.....
but half of stoudamire's score should count on Nash

I am soooo happy we got Scola. People like leebigez might prefer the Stromile Swift type players (hey, I guess he is more athletic...) but I just love having Scola on the team. I want him and Battier to retire as Rockets.

    Big Five, Baby!

    Yao, T-Mac, Artest, Scola, Battier!!!

Good stuff... And to think ppl think that Chuck Hayes deserve minutes over him. Scola can go to work in the post against almost anyone. He's schooling Bosh, Carmelo, AK. Not only can he post, he can pick and roll OR pick and pop. He hustles every single minute on the floor. You simply can't get any more conditioned than that. He does the dirty work.

I hope that Rick Adelman finds a way to get him touches even when he's playing with Yao Ming to mix it up.

Of course he can. Defensively, he's still a bit out there. Still love him and think he'll definitely continue to progress.

I don't think there's a single big man in the NBA that he couldn't outplay in a single basketball game.

I just like players that hustle all the time and never quit.....they just keep on coming....no matter what the score.
