Why do you hate JVC? I thought JVC is ok even though I prefer SONY. Seriously, VSpan is really good, I wish CNT have a guard of his caliber. Maybe we can persuade him changing his passport.
What do you mean keep him? As far as I know, nobody owns his rights. The Rockets traded him and the Spurs released him. If he were ever to try the NBA again (highly unlikely), he'd be a free agent.
I just think their better players other than Yao are not suited to playing with Yao..... They are slashers, and Yao clogs the middle...... If they moved Yao out top some...and allowed more cutters I think they would be more effective overall. DD
Without Yao China has no chance against any European teams, Yao is 50% of the team. Maybe one day Yi will be a bigger part of the team, but right now the Chinese basketball team is true team Yao!
Don't pay attention to DaDakota. Greece blew the game wide open in the first quarter the moment Yao went to the bench for an early break. Greece went on like a 10-0 run and the coach didn't even look Yao's way. It was obvious China was tanking the game.
I dont see why China want to win and play Argentina, the Chinese coach is former Lit coach, he knows more about how to play aginst Lit, plus if China somehow win the game aginst Lit, they play winner of Spain and Cortia, much better than US.
If V-Span Joined the Rockets a season earlier, does JVG end up playing him more during that injury-plagued season of 2005-06 than what we saw of his PT the following season of 2006-07? I certainly think so. Hindsight is 20-20. There is a chance he still might still be with the Rockets now if he did join a season earlier, but for us Rocket fans, He enabled the team to get Scola.
That, and its relevance or lack thereof to the NBA, have never before been discussed on this BBS. Thank you.
Yi won't have a better future than Sun Yue (U know who he is,right?). Yi doesn't have some kind of spirit to lead him to a great great player. Sun is different. Maybe you don't know much about him, but we Chinese know that and I think in LA, with KB, he'll grow up to a real soldier, a warrior, a fighter. The only thing I am worried about is that the luxury life in such a big city will lead him to a wrong way and he can't concentrate on what is really for him, for his NBA dream. {First post, a little nervous, hello to everybody.please take care of everything(don't whether it is a proper sentence for this situation…… )}
You did a very good job! Welcome to the forum. Sun Yue had some good moments in the games I watched, but it looks like he will have a lot to learn in LA. Yi only seemed to come alive when he was allowed to dunk in scrub minutes.
thx. No matter who, no matter he's native or oversea, he must pay a lot before being a great NBA super-star. And I believe whatever does'nt kill him just make him stronger. He has a desire to win(just like Kobe),. So good luck to Sun, the oriental red sun. As I said, I, with a lot of my friends, think there is a lack of , may I can say, fighting spirit, or desire for victory. U know, in china men basketball team, Wang Zhizhi is more important than him. (But he did a very good rebound job in Beijing)
