Perhaps there should be an official NBA player migration to Europe thread?

Somehow he thinks that just because he average over 15 point per on a crappy team, he deserves near max money. I hate to break it to him, but that gravy train is over.

He doesn't deserve more than Deng. Deng plays defense and scores for them. Last year he was the Bulls star player. Gordon is just a shooter. He doesn't play no defense. So he might as well pack his bags and find out what the next flight is to Europe.

I think someone will pony up $10 mil per for him. He still has that "clutch 4th quarter" thing going for him. And he was a former #3 pick and quite talented. There are always crazy money thrown around. There are bound to be some stupid GMs who think he's worth it.

I'm sure that deal will be overseas.

Problem is he already rejected $10 million a year. He thinks he deserves more.

I dont see a Euro team offering 10 mil for Ben Gorden. He is not that much of a game changer.

Perhaps I was mistaken, but I thought he rejected that offer last year, and this year the Bulls decided not to bother to give him even that.

After seeing at Igoudala(sp?) and Maggette got this offseason, I think the market can bear something like 5 year/$50-60 mil contract for Gordon...

OTOH, I think Europe is actually less feasible because he can get long term financial stability here in the US.

actually, the article quotes his agent mentioning Europe. Gordon doesn't mention it. This is no different than Landry's agent mentioning it.

If he truly believes that, then he needs to lay off the crack.

I think he might've been posturing to get out of Chicago, but his agent must be smart enough to know that's impossible.

The Bulls weren't even able to make the Playoffs in the Eastern Conference. If the Bulls can find a fairly acceptable deal for Gordon, they need to take it because there is no indication of team orientation from him.

No idea what team would want to carry that much salary for a smallish SG. He isn't AI.

if he didn`t cost so much, he`d be a great backup for mac and the 2 and would be a great 6th 7th player for us.

agree, i say we trade head and hayes or landry and a pick for gordon...

by the way, no way gordon's worth 10+ mil a year.. his game is quite similar to JR smith, maybe he's a little better than Smith

    You kidding?

You'd trade Head (marginally useful) and an elite defender at the big spots or an explosive big for a 6'2"/6'3" guard who can't pass, can't really run an offense, and thinks he's better than he is?

    No way we're doing that.

I do agree with you that Gordon might be just a bit better than Smith, though it's more to do with Smith being the league's number 1 chucker than anything.

Still, I'd rather have Smith than Gordon by virtue of his size.

I can't wait to hear which teams are looking at signing Gordon for over 10 mill a year. Perhaps one of the young teams with cap room, ofcourse some of these teams are saving for the Lebron sweepstakes in a few years.

you say that in bulls msg board, they'd kill you instantly... i guess either you dont know much bout gordon's games, or dont appreciate his game, or just overestimating head and hayes.
