If only defense/effort is the main criteria for a great player then someone like our RyBo would be up there with Mikey.

Just out of curiosity what would ya'll think of this trade if it happened?

    Houston Trades:
    - Shane Battier
    - Rafer Alston
    - Luther Head

    Milwaukee Trades:
    - Michael Redd

Not that this trade would ever happen and I don't subscribe to it happening but if it would happen how would ya'll feel about it? (The trade does work in trade checker)

    New Lineup would look like:

    P.G. - Francis. . . . . . . . Brooks. . . . . . Singletary
    S.G. - McGrady. . . . . . . Redd. . . . . . . Barry
    S.F. - Artest. . . . . . . . .Harris. . . . . . .Ewing Jr.
    P.F. - Scola. . . . . . . . . Landry. . . . . . Hayes
    ..C. - Yao. . . . . . . . . . .Mutombo. . . . Dorsey

We now have a big hole at P.G. which is considerable. We lose one of the top defenders in the league but we gain a guy who can score at will and is one of the top scorers in the league. Most of us would have been willing to give up Battier for Artest (despite the fact that he is nuts) because of Artest's all around game vs. Battier's solid d, but limitation of a spot up 3 on offense. We got Artest and lost nothing so to ADD Michael Redd without losing the Defensive presence would be pretty incredible. It's just a thought.

P.S. - I know Milwaukee would never have a reason to pull this trade.

wow... now we are comparing DH to Yao! if i were to start a team, i would pic experience over youth. i would want to see my rings now rather than to have to wait for them. To be honest i don't see Orlando winning a Ring with the team that they have now. they might need to pull a boston and get another superstar in order to be a contender.

lol, mike redd will never sit on the bench. he is in the prime of his career. we can move tracy to the 3 spot and put redd in the 2 spot.

The only player i see overrated is Horry if he is rated at all!! Marion imo is underrated. They talk about Battier averages less points for the amount of minutes he plays....whoever wrote the article has no knowledge about NBA or basketball at all, Battier is mainly used for his defense, not to average high points. Pathetic list. My list would be:

    1) Carmelo Anthony
    2) Jermain Oneal
    3) Shaq (current shaq)
    4) Vince Carter
    5) Pau Gasol

Everyone expecting Yao to be hall of famer center in the future, i really doubt if its ever gonna happen. Dont get me wrong, he is a good player, but he just does not have the mentality to dominate like Shaq, Hakeem, Wilt n others did. I compare him to Sabonis, just only better. He shoots, rebounds n defend much better than Sabonis. He still has the skills to be great center n win games n average 20 n 10 a season, but to get to the next level in playoffs, he needs another superstar. When tmac got injured, Yao failed to take over games n give rockets enough wins. It sucks that tmac is injury prone n lost the explosiveness he had when he was with Orlando but i think with the addition of Artest, this team is rdy to win it all. Rockets now has complete aresenal to get it done. Yao n Scola with their inside game, Tmac n Artest doing what the do best n role players in Alston, Battier, Barry, Hayes, Francis n maybe Landry, this team is packed with talent on offense n best defense.

On paper this team looks like NBA's best team, just few more months to see how they mesh. Cant wait its gonna be an exciting season.

Two words for you - Bruce Bowen. Yet he was not even a friggin first round pick much less a lottery pick that Battier was AND I don't see anyone trading a lottery pick for him either. Dude newsflash Battier IS overrated no matter how you slice it.

So Howard as a 22 year old averages almost as many points as a 28 year old Yao Ming, has never missed a single game unlike Yao Ming who has missed significant time three years in a row, outrebounds Yao Ming by 4 rebounds per game, and gets .2 more blocks per game but he's not a better player than Yao because he can't shoot free throws as well as Yao and he's bound to get hurt some day?

You're not a homer or anything.

So Lebron James is so much younger than Kobe Bryant and has outscored, outrebounded and out-assisted Kobe the last 2 seasons, do that make Lebron a better player than Kobe just because Kobe won Championship with Shaq?

Even Dwight is better than Yao like you said, which is a tossed, does yao the 2nd best center in the league overrated in your eyes?

I'm not saying DH is better than Yao, but what really makes me mad is when people on this board acts as if you can't compare the two. They act like Yao is just a lot better then DH.

Where is Paul Pierce on that list? Please explain this to me.

Their reason for Dwyane Wade being #5 was him only playing 47 games and his team only winning 15 games in the 2007-08 season.

Paul Pierce... 2006-07 season, played 51 games, his team only won 24 games. Hmmm...

Both players were Finals MVPs at one point of their careers. Both without key players like Shaq or Garnett/Allen failed miserably to accomplish anything but a high draft pick.

Man... the whole wheel chair thing in game 1 of the finals... please.

Your whole post was a mistake. It's ridiculous to put either PP or Wade on that list.

Actually Lebron is a better player than Kobe in every way, but Kobe got hype and style is all.
