He's fitness is good. he plays almost every minute of there games. it's he's speed and stamina. also i'm talking about on offense. everytime oberto or scola had to defend him, he scored pretty easily on them or they had to hack him. the argies had no answers for him on defense.

That would be the first all-Asian center tandem.

its sad if stupid politics prevent athletes from playing in the best league in the world! you see what yao has done for america and china relations it would be nice if hadadi can be another diplomatic bridge

Not sure what everyone's watching, but this guy's got 'project' written all over him. not a whole lot of skill or basketball iq, but tall and i would imagine if he spent a summer here with an nba team, he would gain some strength be ok.
but i guess if eddy curry's got a job in the nba, y not this guy?
that being said, if politics do get in the way (which they already have) of him getting a shot at the nba, that's just a sad, the nba's not a place for political statements for the government. i'm sure the nba wants the guy, but is being pressured from higher ups to keep him out.

He's owning virtually every center in the olympics. he schooled the argies frontline of oberto and scola. 21 points 17 boards. he had 20 points and 20 REBOUNDS against darko millicic and nenad kiristic. he out scored bogut in a head to had matchup. he had 21 points 11 boards 5 blocks against lithuana. he's more then a project.

Have you watched this guys skill on the offensive end. he's avge 17 points 11 boards 2.6 blocks in the blocks in the games on 48% shooting despite being doubled regulary. honestly, you just made a very unintelligent assesment..

I'd say Hadadi is overated. If you are talking about Diamond cup.Actually the Serbia team was defenitely not the national team, it was a youth team and simply without darko millicic and nenad kiristic. Hadadi no way can get that stat. facing darco or nenad. Actually every time when Iran plays China national team, Yi and Wang can really give him a good lesson even without Yao.

You didn't read the story right. Stern is not prohibited him from being signed in the NBA. Stern's legal team is submitting paperwork to bring him to the USA.

Iran doesn't want him riding pine, though. If he's raw as some posters have said, his best chance of playtime would be getting one of those fat euroleague contracts with all taxes paid. I

Dont compare zizi and yi to this guy. he's better both those scrubs. he also outplayed oberto and scola on offense. did you even watch him play against argentina?. he had 21 points 17 rebounds against them. isnt argentina a national team. he had 21 and 1 on lithuania. are they not a national team?. he had 17 and 15 on coratia. are they not a national team?.

Iran's Hadadi Claims He's Joining Grizzles

    Aug 19, 2008 5:33 PM EST
Iran's Hamed Hadadi claims that he will become a member of the Memphis Grizzles by the end of the week, despite a statement by the NBA that teams may not negotiate with the center, according to Payvand.

"I will undoubtedly join Memphis Grizzlies by the end of next week. I met Memphis' officials yesterday to discuss joining the team," Hadadi said.

"I received many offers from European teams but just playing in the NBA is my dream," he added. "Hopefully, I can join Memphis as soon as possible without any problem."

However, the NBA's legal counsel has maintained that teams are not allowed to discuss business with Iranian nationals.

"It has come to our attention that representatives of Hamed Hadadi, an Iranian basketball player, may be contacting NBA teams to discuss the possibility of signing Mr. Hadadi to an NBA player contract. We have been advised that a federal statute prohibits a person or organization in the United States from engaging in business dealings with Iranian nationals," the counsel said.

NBA teams cleared to negotiate with Iranians
    By Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo! Sports
BEIJING – After receiving U.S. government approval, Iranian center Hamed Ehadadi has been cleared to sign with NBA teams, Yahoo! Sports has learned.

The NBA sent out an email to executives late Wednesday afternoon informing its 30 teams they were free to enter into negotiations with the 7-foot-2 Iranian Olympian, as well as one of his teammates on Iran’s national team: guard Mohammadsamad Nik Khahbahrami.
