Dirk plays like a little girl no matter which competition he participates in. He was flailing and flopping all over the place. What a disgrace.
Why do the Chinese BBall team always blow a big lead. One vs Spain, and vs Germany. If they didn't do that, they could be 3-1 now.
Do you know what a stress fracture is and how it happens? if you did you would realize that is not a good thing for yao to return from that injury in 6 months...infact it would be in the rox best interests if yao did not play ball again untill the season starts again and simply focus on conditioning
Nice win, and Very very nice game by Yao, Yao is probably 90% to his playing style of the old Yao, If USA and China play again, Expect Yao to much better stats and watch him Own Dwight Howard like always
The best way to get into basketball shape is to play in actual basketball games. Right now, he gets to shake off his rust and should be ready by the season. If he waited to play his very first game when the season started, he would take a while to get into shape. Yao played his last game in February. Thats a long time till the season opener to not play any basketball games. If Yao really couldn't play, the doctors wouldn't have cleared him.
Do you know what time it is? Time for the Yao Ming song. V-Span and his boys are next, Yao's just getting started!
countless literally 5-6 clear flops officiating was better than the NBA. they didn't reward flopping and the NBA-style superstar bailout call in the last minute for Dirk which could have changed the game didn't wasn't whistled
or maybe sit out for the entire season like what greg oden did. It would probably be in Yaos best interest to do that, but I dont think Rox would do that. Yao wants to play in this olympic just let it be, we're in a free country right. Feels like some people are just being selfish. Lets just all hope for the best, hope he doesn't get injured and instead gets a good work out from the olympics and more prepared for next season. Plus its a good note that he says he doesn't want to participate in future international tournement. So really he just has to get through this olympic and upcomming season with extreme caution, and rockets need to surround him with the best doctors/trainers. If all goes well rockets will go all the way next yr. good. Maybe, an outside organization needs to referee NBA games, instead of the ones hired by the NBA. FIBA referees > NBA (crooks).
I was cheering for China, but I gotta say the officials gave the Chinese team some calls. Two bad calls on Dirk down the stretch made the difference. Yao got tons of superstar calls and no calls.
well, there is something called homecourt advantage and china deserves it. now that china is moving on, i hope they do well b/c we all want to come back here on a big high. imagine if china medals, i think yao will just bust out a brand new dominance when he returns to the NBA.
it's been a growing trend that kaman is yao's b*tch. kaman said he could stop yao this game, and what'd yao do? just drop 25 on him. he prob uttered those infamous words again: "You can't f***** stop me!" ps: if anyone forgot, that infamous video was none other than a matchup between yao and kaman. i'd embed the video here, but i don't know how sadly
Yea I agree, that charge call was very close with Yao still slightly shuffling his feet at contact. IMO Dirk did travel in that other call but no way should it have been called in that situation.
fiba calls are different than nba calls. The charge yao took, if that was in a nba game, that is a blocking foul 9 of 10 times. But in fiba, that is 50-50 call.
Rockets should rest Yao the first half of the season and McGrady the 2nd half and have both available for the playoffs. I am dead serious.
