Serious advice anyone? Im majoring in Accounting but im thinking about double majoring in Sports management also, but alot of people say w/o connections its nearly impossible to get into a good team and the pay is ****ty if you dont know anyone. Can anyone give me some helpful advice?
Obviously your mom didnt sell enough hence why you're here. Next time tell her ill pay for the abortion. Sorry that you had to find out the hard way that you were a mistake.
I have friends that work for the Blazers and Warriors. They graduated with various business degrees and started off selling tickets (individual and corporate packages etc) after slaving away getting paid jack they got promoted and are now making a decent living.
I forgot to mention slaving away for 3 years or so..... If you're patient and can afford to make like 28-30k for that long go for it. Furthermore, like anything else you start your way up from the bottom but this is especially true working for sports teams.
damn thats pretty low for a college graduate damn. Idk if thats worth it, something to think about I guess
Growing up I always wanted to be the rockets trainer, just like keith jones, then it hit me that even if i make it as a trainer, the rockets would already have so many interns and ishh for the job already and its just not realistic so idk just got to be lucky
Didn't Mangini come up into coaching from a position where he cleaned jock straps and made sandwiches for Bill Belichick?
Succeed as a businessman, then work your way around back to sports. That's what Morey and Obama's brother-in-law did.
Morey worked for STATS, Inc in college then worked for a company that valuated sports franchises. He worked with the group that acquired the Celtics then started working for the Celtics. So he was always working in the sports area.
this, in my opinion, is the only way to go about this. if you are switching into this field, the best thing is to start from the bottom, work for free or a stipend, and show them what you do. work your butt off and make them see your talent.
